• one down london road jst off town and a lambreatta/vespa place further down by iceland, i think its in leigh. (on ur left after some traffic lights)
• serious mtb used 2 b the onli 1 but its gon now
• Jayz Cycles of course. Loads of mad bikes to look at!! Pop into Up 4 Kiting next door for your mountain board stuff.
• theres one down hamstel road near the primary school. its ok. have a look.
• There's a good sports bike shop at cuckoo corner, a vespa-style shop near the Bell pub and a Harley shop down west-road...again, not really my thing...
• cycle -HAH! poor service, high prices. Sell U a new bike shops aplenty. try buying decent spares & having them fitted properly.

• Emtoo, The Ridgeway. Top bike shop selling Orange, Marin and other brands. Good blokes run the shop. Thursday evening is ride night, up to 20 riders in the summer all trying to thrash each other or crash spectacularly.
• If your bike gets stolen, one of the Southend bike shops is probably the place to find it. Try York road. (I wouldn't head there for much else!
• uk cycles is a phat shop near kfc and the bell pub
• Push bikes: Avenue Cyles is crap, Jayz Cycles is much better and the guy in there is nice, they can get everything you need.
• The one down West road, only discovered it the other day, good quality, cheap, second hand push bikes, Cool!!
• Jayz cycles down Hamstel Road
• there loads of shit-hot motorbikes at the shop on cookoo corner
• Tracks or something, I dont know really but it looks ok.

• Jay's Cycles on Hamstel Road - one of the friendliest in the area.
• Leisure-tec, along the London Road, Westcliff. A small business but with a good range of brands. I always go to small shops for these things because I don't trust Halfords with my wheel nuts!!

BMX Trails, Street Spots

• the grove woods near the dentist.
• Bowlers bedroom
• again, would have said Shoebury, their dirt track is small but fun. again though due to rude boys taking over every bit of this tiny little town, theres barely enough room to live without treading on sumthing wearing a cap (even when theres no sun)
• THERE IS THIS RELG SAFE THING CALLED A KIRB, YOU CAN DROP OFF IT AND GET BACK UP IT. KIRBS CAN BE FOUND ALL AROUND SOUTHEND I SUGGEST YOU GO FIND SOME NOW, THEY ARE SPECIAL. ALMOST AS SPECIAL AS A PARK BENCH
• Grove BMX track (Rayleigh)
• my boyfriend does some leigh through to thundersly and back along the benfleet/leigh hadleigh castle bike route and always comes back knackered and dirty..mmmmmm he tells me hes out on his bike riding...i wonder!!!

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
