Computer and Games Shops
GAME
voodoo consoles swap your old games for new ones ..coool.
A2Z computers is shit, i think this nob head called Warren works there, he keeps stalking my friend, the freak!
lots of skaters work at GAME, go there!
Voo Doo consoles is a great place for second hand and new games, consoles and dvd it's worth checking them out. It's outside Becon Bingo.
There used to be an amazing computer game shop called KC's Computers (it started on Pinfold Gate and then moved to the High Street). It's sadly since vanished. Voodoo Consoles on Baxtergate is ok, if a little limited. GAME is awful, as usual.
Years ago, Loughborough used to be THE place for games thanks to KC's Computers (formly of Pinfold Gate, then the High Street) but that has sadly since vanished. Anyone under the age of twenty probably won't remember this fine store (that's pretty much 99% of the people reading this, then). Voodoo consoles on Baxtergate is half-decent, and there's a piss-poor GAME (just like every other town in the country) but other than that, you're stumped.
A2Z computers is great and very cheap. its on belton road west.
Voodoo is OK but can be a bit expensive now - Was really cheap but is getting more expensive all the time - Still your best bet for a bargain in Leics. though!
HMV
Voodoo Consoles, by far the best games shop this side of Leicester. My neighbour owns the shop - great little place.
game
Game in the precinct is ok.... i suppose
There's game and voodoo. Voodoo's way better, it's cheaper and has a demo console which you can actually play on. Opposite the bingo hall, turn left at the Leicester City shop and carry on for quite a bit.
The only games shop in loughbrough is under the carillion court and its called the game its alright.
I think this could possibly mean that little plastic figure shop where you get loads of them in armies and stuff and paint them and play with in the shop all day. Its next door to Bacons, Loughboroughs classiest and cheapest shoe retailer. you can pick up a pair of leatherette look mules for £1.99. Anyway, Games workshop lies there, but why is that the only shop that is open all night? Theres always a huge group of kids in there til all hours. But im not starting rumours of a Gary Glitteresque shop keeper. No, not at all. wouldnt hear of it.
Game in loughborough is the cheapest and has the widest choice. It is located in the presinct.
Phat beats (or whatever it's called) also sells computer games.
Jive Consoles has moved it is now opposite the Halifax and has been since 96.
Oh and if you want there is also Game in the mini kind of mall with Castle Reco-
rds
There are two really wicked computer/games shops in town; they are both on Fennel Street, opposite Left Legged Pineapple. Jive Consoles is run by Pete (nice bloke but a bit thick!) and Nutech Systems sells PCs -- the owner Martin is dead helpful he offers loads of good advice and won't rip you off! All the rest are crap compared to these! [from nutech@.....]
Whoever mentioned W H Smiths - they have to be joking! There are a number of computer games shops but I can't remember their names.
W H Smiths (Well good)
