Skateboarding Spots

• There used to be a fridge near the Sainsbury's car park.. it was there for ages cos someone wrote on it that it was a work of art!
• WE WISH LEWISHAM PAY FOR A SKATEPARK WHEN THEY CULD BUILD ANOTHER FRIED CHICKEN SHOP HELL NO
• Vespa Road, in the no cars area on the bridge over the railway station. Slight hill, but cool high curbs to grind. Watch out for pizza delivery on mopeds though.
• Sainsbury's carpark or the old Gala Bingo carpark. New Cross used to have a skatepark about 10 years ago but the council demolished it - we'd like to get another one.
• Douglas Way- by the Albany Theatre used to be a place but I don't think Skate-boarding's that cool to Deptford Kids.

Skateboard Shops

• Brixton cycles of course!
• Not really new cross, but decathlon has some cool stuff. more and more skaters are appearing in new cross, but we've a long way to go till it becomes "the norm"
• ohh please WE WISH most people would get beaten up or at least severally heckled if we walked down the street with a skateboard tho im impressed with the odd kid walkin bout wiv a skateboard

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
