Bicycle Shops, Bike Sales and Repairs

  • If you're looking for a good cheap bicycle go to the Saturday Market and look for a guy who sells bicycles. Cheap and good service.
  • that little place in jersey farm - really nice chaps n good prices for gear and repairs. Adiktion cycles are arseholes.
  • ADDICTION or LEISUR WHEELS
  • on victoria road
  • Addiktion Cycles - 97 Victoria Street, 01727 858841 Mountain bikes and road cycles, near At Albans City station (pedal cycles) Please remove - Bicycle conections - it no longer exists
  • dave mirras bike shop
  • addiktion beats leisure wheels hands down on service with a smile
  • addiktion cycles, on victoria street is good.
  • The one near the train station is where i got my (pedal) bike but it's not an enormous shop.
  • Catriona is a kind lady, and will buy bikes for poor underpriveliged kids. This makes them very happy..
  • "The Cum House" pretends to be a bike shop, but actually it is a Wrestling Den and home of Exercise Club, of which I just broke the first rule.
  • "Pop-Gun Lust Man" is the best shop in the whole of town. Old men and young boys alike cluster to imitate the A-Team on pushbikes. Frank once to drive his car across the frozen lake.
  • There is a Bike Shop called Halfords, but don't trust their staff. The top floor is the "Fat People Society", and they are lovely as can be, but the people below resent the fatness of the people above them, and are a bunch of unruly youths in hats. One of them pushed a bicycle pump into my anal passage. That was not a pleasant experience.
  • "Inspector Morse Cycles" at Jersey Farm is my favourite, where Morse and Lewis discuss cycling, snakes, shirts and porcupines all day for the amusement of the masses. Both will perform fellatio on request. Fellatio is a character in Hamlet.
  • There is the "Freddie M" Bike Shop in Jersey Farm, and it would be lovely, but like Chris M, they are completely and utterly obsessed with Freddie Mercury, lead singer of popular 70's glam rock band Queen. Their bikes include the "Fat Bottomed Girls theme Bike", which has no saddle. The "Crazy thing called Love" bike, which looks like Jesus. The "Bohemian Rhapsody" bike, which is epic, and has seats for four people, and the "It's a kind of Magic" bike, which Mr Priestman rides, as he lives only down the road.
  • Amsterdam have a lot of bikes. And a lot of whores. Cool.
  • Trust me, if you want a bike in St. Albans, you're better off nicking one than going to a bike shop. Last time I went into one, I asked for my tyre to be jacked, and the guy got the wrong idea!
  • The "Dancing Bear" bike shop in Glevum Close is cool, they sell lots of fun bikes, and once they sold a friend of mine, Peter Woo, two gigantic bags of salt. Oh how we laughed!
  • Bicycle conections victoria street not far from the station
  • You can get a Hot Bike from The Cuss Shop at 26 Rowlatt Drive. It rocks!
  • Not a single Motorbike shop in St.Albans any more, arse.
  • St Albans cycles supplied me mine a few years ago.

BMX Trails, Street Spots

  • There are a lot in St. Albans, but people havent been bothered to find them, there are some medium sized jumps in 'The Pits' jus off the A414 at smallford. Also there are some jumps near tescos in hatfield, jump on the abbey flier to watford for the skatepark. MTB RULES!!!! (filthy bmx'ers)
  • woods off Harpenden Road
  • Woods off Harpenden Road
  • Woods off Harpenden Road
  • Marlborough dirt jumps near Sopwell
  • The Dipper round the back of skyswood school, great for dirt ridin and gettin leaned with the chavs
  • The dykes opp the fire station
  • clarence park jersey farm and safeway car park

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about St Albans. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in St Albans.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
