Bongo Bongo is real cool

Bongo Bongo is a great shop with a mixture of things, including clothes.

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
I think Hobby craft around the Ferndown area is the best arts and craft centre for buying art and crafts related items. it is large and is so much fun to look around. great fun. You could spend hours in there!
Boscombe, and Westbourne: Most stuff in Boscombe is shut down. Westbourne is arty farty central. Full of florists, antiques, galleries, music, buskers, and cute little cafes. Very Nice!
Russell Cotes Museum. Well worth a poke around if not for the huge portrait of some bird full frontal!!! Hobbycraft, if anyone can get to it!!
westover gallery on westover road for art supplies.
Poole Pottery is the coolest
Boscombe community festival:- who dares to,say that boscombe and bournemouth lack culture the boscombe community festival held every year (and getting bigger each time) is a smaller equivelent of the larmer tree with great live music fromceltic to reggea to house to metal etc. drum workshops, dj workshops , kids activities , arts and crafts and so so much more. next festival in september looks to be the biggest yet and if you like good music and great people then dont miss it. Ther is also a lot of smaller but equally good quality events coming up sooner parkstone are having a band bash on the green. (party on the green look it up sorry havent got dates with me will try and post later. Another band and community bash on the bickerly in ringwood boasting bands such as dubheart and pronghorn. ill try and post the website for these events soon.
Like the open air gallery by the Pavillion.
Oxidium for handmade jewellery...FAB!
Nope. Have to head to Burley for that!
Hobby Craft is pukka - everything u need under one huge roof
i wouuld like some information on craft shops in the area
Poole Pottery has some crafty type things inside
The Little Green Place has cool pictures of Aliens and other cool, reasonably cheap present type stuff, definately for those into the wierd and wonderful.
Russel Coates on Westcliff is all Bournemouth has. Worth a look as it's free and has the odd good exhibition. Poole has more of this stuff.
Magazine and Comic Shops
Paradox in Poole
Borders
There is a comic shop where they seel Marvel comics with Spiderman and the X-men up near the KFC.
Good Sci-Fi and Comic shop to be found on the Landsdowne roundabout opposite KFC.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
