• Aberaeron is where a large section of Ceredigion's lumbering, inefficient county council lies (within the walls of county hall). As councils go they are not very accountable to the public who they are supposed to serve and who pay their wages! They are very aloof and won't go out of their way to help you unless you're in the old boy network or know someone who is. If you contact a department regarding an issue which may need communication with another department they won't pass the information on within their own walls they expect you to do that, in most cases this causes confusion and delay, as the Fat Controller might say, just because they can't be bothered, they get paid enough though. Let's hope this recession will whittle away some of the slackers within said county hall walls! Probably won't though, the decent, helpful few will lose their jobs whilst the slackers keep theirs, as is always the way.
