- TRIED RICHARD'S, BUT WAS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE STAFF AT ALL SO LEFT AFTER 20MIN. RANG RETROREBELS FOR DETAILS OF PIERCINGS AND THEY WERE SO FRIENDLY I'M GOING IN TOMMOROW TO GET IT DONE
- Best tattooists in Aberdeen is Draconians on George Street. They have good artists there and they take health and safety very seriously.
The worst tattooists in Aberdeen: Richards, near the harbor.
- Richards
- If you want to get a piercing then head to Richards tattoo studio. I went there with my daughter after asking my friends and having a look around town at the places available. I was aloud to go in and watch the whole thing. The place is remarkable clean and the girl that did the piercing was so friendly and helpful. The piercing was done so quickly that my daughter didn’t even know until she was shown the mirror. She’s delighted with the piercing and so am I. Richard’s tattoo studio is the place to go.
- After looking around Aberdeen in the hunt for the best studio and going into a number of the studios, only one really stood out, Richards tattoo studio down by the harbor. When i went in i looked at the pictures on the wall showing some work that they've already done, i was blown away with the detail in the work and the colour. After looking through some of the designs one of the staff members came out and asked if i needed any help, i had brought in my own design and went over it with her. She said the design may have to be tweaked a little but as i drew it myself i wasnt shocked, I got a time for later that day. I showed up early and as i sat down the girl came out again to show me my design, how they got something so amazing from my drawing is beyond me. She asked if it was ok and i said that it was better than i'd hoped. When i went in to actually get it, the studio inside was spotless and smelt like a dentist which is what you want. I was nervous and the artist spoke to me all the way through which calmed me down. When it was all finnished and i got to look the end result i had no doubts about the choice i had made and after 6months the tattoo is still looking better than my friends one....she got hers done at another studio only 2 months ago. Thanks to everyone at Richards
- Have to say that my boyfriend went to get large tatoo work done by richard at richard's tatoo studio in aberdeen. Whilst my boyfriend was more concerned with the work that he wanted done i sat back and noticed a number of things. The staff were really friendly no sooner than we arrived in the shop a member of staff came out into the waiting area and enquired as to whether we needed any help. My boyfriend did not have to wait around and went through very quickly. Richards shop is immaculate. I saw the area where all the work is done and it looked clean fresh, and most importantly clinically safe. it actually quite comforting as richard seems to own a substantial amount of literature surrounding tatooing. This to me not only displays a deep sense of being thouroughly aware of his job but also shows meaningful interest in the work he does. There were awards on the wall for best artwork etc. Richard conversed freely throughout the lengthy session (approx 3 hours) and at all times richard was aware of how comfortable my boyfriend was. The end result was an absolutley beautiful tatoo. the colours were amazing and richard provided substantial aftercare advice as to how to look after a tatoo properly. i consider myself to be very fussy (as one should) with choosing a tatooist and have absolutley no doubts in recommending this studio to anyone who is considering getting one done.
- rtro rebels still do the cleanest and friendliest piercings around.
- Have to say that I agree with the comment about Richards tattoo studio but think the bad attitudes filter down from Richard himself. You can walk in but you are usually told to come back at a specified time, athough they don't do appointments? or to come back next day as they are fully booked. As for prices have to say that Draconian was about £20 ponds cheaper for my wifes tattoo would have been at Richards
- i got my tattoo's done at richards down at the harbour, which is very sterile, and has a large amount of designs to choose from. i got my piercing done at preasants, although he didn't numb it, he was very reassuring andf spoke me through the whole procedure.
- Avoid Richards at the harbour at all costs, the staff are surly, rude and unhelpful and the most people who get tattoos there (myself included) quite often find bits missing as it's poorly done. In saying that it's dirt cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. In contrast, Draconian on George Street do a wonderful tattoo, have really friendly and helpful staff, but it costs an arm and a leg, and has a waiting list of about 2 weeks, whereas at Richards you can just walk in off the street. There is also Alla Tumba and Kev's Inkhouse, I haven't tried them so can't pass judgement, but most people use Richards or Draconian.
