- Can't think of anything other than the usual Next, Dorothy Perkins and expensive charity shops like Oxfam. Lot of malls though. Lots. With more or the same chain clothes shops, Dorothy Perkins, Next etc. (sorry mentioned them before haven't I? But they're everywhere, like McDonalds almost.
- Elementz has to be the skankiest shop in Britain. You need to scrub whatever you buy to with-in an inch if it's useful life to get all the skanky filth off it. Maybe it should just be napalmed

- Vintage Phoenix on Chattan Place in Aberdeen's west end has vintage clothes and eco-fashion - reused, restyled and totally unique clothes, bags etc totally not high street!
- matalan
- Near IMPOSSIBLE to find good clothes for guys in Aberdeen but usually you can put something together with parts from certain shops for guys: River Island, Gap, Topman, Envy.
- Pink (In the Trinity centre) is good for shoes, Quiz also in the Trinity centre, Logo, New Look, Primark is always good
- the closet is still one of my favourite shops...just off john street, which is just off george street. the prices have gone up a bit as of late, but if you get on first name terms with the women who owns it then you will have a friend, and cheap discounts for life (at this point she texts me to let me know if she has got something in that i would like). also retrospect next to craigdon mountain sports and john lewis sells really cool stuff...both boys and girl, and great graffitti artwork...by my friend. and the wonder that is retro rebels, at the far end of george street...with the best shoes...
- retro rebels, not for the mad goth stuff though.
- the usual fasion clothes at high street prices can been found at topshop and h&m on union street. debenhams in the trinity centre has a few shops under there roof which is very good, there's warehouse, miss selfridge, next and river island in the st nicolas centre, and oasis and new look to name a few in the bon accord centre. good fasion shops in the accademy centre, which is the best place for boys especially ab10. boys could also try topman and usc on union street, and a further trek there's kafa... for a cheap train fair dundee isn't that far either.
- There's a shop behind the Lemon Tree called Mackays that is stuck in 1977, great for finding weird clothing like stripey wooly jumpers, flares, shirts with big collars, students love it, sadly the guy who runs it is lacking a bit with his customer services skills, and upon entering the shop will ask you what you are looking for, and without any exception, every single time will say "We don't have it just now, it'll be coming in on Tuesday, OK bye then", and try to chase you out the door without allowing you to browse.
- ASDA at Garthdee is the biggest of it's kind in the world. Massive. You'll see it in front of a big white hill. Labels include George, Geo, and G. You can impress the office with a combined shirt and (not necessarily matching) tie for 20 pence. Mini skirts range from aged 3 and up, priced ten cola bottles. Some fetching tracksuits (two stripes). Plymsols, £1 no dunlop green flash though. Nice shop assistant to greet you as you go in, there to help apparantly.
- Plenty charity shops! Arf.
- pink is pretty cool
- harley and AB10 but only when they have a sale lol damn good gear in harley and if you keep goin there they remember you and might give you discount which is always good :-)
- fatface on back wynd is cool although quite expensive
- Ooooh....! Don't get me started but for posh threads go to the Academy Shopping Centre near the Art Museum, Bon Accord Shopping Centre is a fav. too! along with the St. Nic's and Trinity!
- QUICKSILVER
- The Closet on one of the lanes between Aberdeen College and George Street - it sells real vintage clothes (ie not just skanky second hand tat) and is run by the most endearingly mad woman' you'll ever meet)
- Exactly the same as any other UK town or city, and just as boring. It's just takes a lot longer to drive to Aberdeen.
- Presents can hav sum funky stuff... i havnt found any ace vintage shops in aberdeen tho! Does any1 no of any????
- Has to be River Island in the st. nicholas centre not too cheap but not too tacky
- Aberdeen not too blessed at the mo. Affordable decent stuff at d2. Elementz on Union ST. and boarderline nxt to Fopp have usual brand stuff,em... still waiting for things like H+M and cant think of local shops right now....
- If you have money to burn there are plenty of great stores in the academy shopping centre on belmont street. Oh and a great little place called mackyes or something on the street where the lemon tree and the police station are. looks like an out door sports shop, but some fantastic retro stuff inside, if you are prpare to search for it! plus ex- army stuff etc
- NITELIFE, HUNTLY STREET, ABERDEEN, WWW.NITELIFEUK.COM, SEXY CLOTHING AND SHOES, THIGH BOOTS..........
- Presents for goth clothes, anywhere in the academy or Topshop.
- retro rebels all the way, good selection for the weird and the wicked!!
- PRIMARK has redesigned Aberdonians...by letting them wear the cheapest clothes and pants on the planet and nobody cares anymore....goes with the anciet Aberdeen joke: How do you know if a seagull is flying into Aberdeen?.....He's carrying his own sandwiches! I thank you..and yes I am Aberdonian
- granite reef is my favourite and boarderline has some good stuff but i like the staff better at granite reef.
- Granite Reef and Street threads both on The Green. Granite Reef also do some snow, surf and skate accessories
- For the middle class there is the Bon accord centre with mediocre top shop like fashion.
The more well-off have individual shops all over the 'deen.
- elementz, street threads and granite reef not borderline cus the owners a queer.
- Jane Norman
- AGAIN E L E M E N T Z
- Signature in union street. Scot who works there is cute as fuck. Hmmmm. Clothes are good as well
- Signature, its practically been bought by GANT.
- Avoid Top Shop - Big headed sales girl LAURA works there who thinks she is high up on fashion retail - GIRL UR ONLY A SHOP ASSISTANT
- Retro Rebels, Lee Louise on George St and Presents have all cool wierd & gothy stuff
- The Closet - Incredible store! Next to the Bike Bothy off George Street. Full of clothes everyone wanted to forget but the Closet won't allow them to, all authentic and from so far back they really should have crumbled to a million crapped up little pieces by now.
- Hmm.. a few high street Club wear type places would not go a miss.
- TOP SHOP AND THE NEW MISS SIXTY/HOOCH SHOP ON UPPERKIRKGATE IS GOOD
- Granite Reef is a great shop, it's a boarder/blader/surf shop so the stuff is stylish with labels like roxy, rip curl, boxfresh, deisel and heaps of other stuff, it's a bit costly but you can get some great deals in the sale. The staff are great if your lonely and just want a chat, and you have to check out the spiky grey sofa. Also situated on the green, beside granite reef is Streethreds it's a paul frank supplier and is really trendy and the kind of shop you feel awful walking out without buying something even if it's a keyring for a fiver. Harley Clothes Ltd. on schoolhill has got some really nice stuff, it's a small shop but it has great tops, and one-offs so it's great for something different. Then there's elementz, it's thee skater shop and the centre of aberdeens skating community, worth a visit.
- where do I start....... terrible, fuckin' terrible........ every girl dresses the same in warehouse and oasis outfits and all the boys in usc outfits.... mainly skin tight jeans and 'lovely' shirts!!! If you want some dress sense and individuality, Harley clothing is the ONLY shop worth looking in..... my advice is get on the train to glasgow!!
- Primark in the Bon Accord centre, maybe not overly trendy but incredibly cheap.
- Top SHop and the new shop on UpperKirkgate next to Duncan Travel i think sells Jane Norman, Miss Sixty and Hooch clothing.... and no clothes that you would find in Quiz/Logo etc
- RIVER ISLAND AND NEXT - TOO LOOK LIKE A STUDENT FUCKWIT, SPORT CONNECTION TO LOOK LIKE A POOR RETARDED BAM! AND THERES A WEIRD 60'S SHOP BEHIND MARKIES!
- Streethreds is OK, but shopping for clothes in Aberdeen is basically pants - better to pay for a ticket to Glasgow or London
- Avoid the following - International (snobs), Debenams downstairs (they dont trust any1),
Go to the logo - the assistant manageress is really nice and helpful and actually is really polite when u buy something and doesnt look down on you like the snobs in international.
The Trinity Centre has a really hot looking security gaurd, hes small dark hair and young BE WARNED - He flirts with every girl in the place has always caryring on with more than 2 girls at one time - hes shite in bed, and thinks hes hard. Also his looks are deceiving you mite thinks hes early 20s but hes alot lot older!!!
- Only one decent een - Mackays roon i back o the Lemon Tree - genuine retro gear, flares / jackets / shirts.
- I see someone has mentioned USC below, but i wouldn't really bother, you'll just leave feeling ripped off. It's just part of a nationwide chain, they sell mid-level designer stuff at extortionate prices. shopping online can give much better results. Another gripe with USC is that as soon as you spend £300 on a jacket they decide that it'd be a great time to have a spring/summer/winter/autumn/ramadan/hanukah (sic?) sale .
A lot of people seem to have a problem with the Academy, but with shops like French Connection and AB10 (nee Reiss), you can't really fault it. Justrite is OK for about 12-16 yr olds, but as you get older your eyes start to open a bit. Still, not bad for Marlboro Classics stuff. The sports shops aren't too bad, JD (St Nicholas centre) and First Sport (Trinity and Bon Accord) are alright-ish as well. Kafka is REMARKABLY expensive, but they do sell nice stuff, evisu, duffer et al, so start saving kids!
Girls'll probably like Morgan and French Connection (both Academy),and maybe
- Most profitable Markies outside London, I hear. Good for kegs & Crispy Aromatic Duck if nothing else
- Oxfam. Barnardo's. Cats Protection League. Carpet shops are handy if you want to create your own clathes. Ken?
- Slaters is good for big names at low prices
- Retro Rebels on George street for all your gothic needs!
- 'Robert Rays' is closed down. Where the fuck am I going to go for jeans now?..
...Stop Press, there's a place at the 'top' of Union Street called 'Just Rite'.
If you're female then try 'Lee Louise'. Everywhere else sells the same clothes, these look pretty stoopid if you're over 18 with a positive IQ.
There used to be a Country & Western stall in the New Market that sold bandanas. In fact the New Market is good, but the clothes dye your skin blue, and fall apart when you take them out the bag. If you have one leg longer than the other, or six fingers and need a pair of gloves then give it a try. Keep you money carefully hidden though as this place is a training ground for pick pockets. The good news is that you can still by a pack of 3 pairs of skin tight black canvas jeans for £3. Handy eh?
There's a place in school hill run by a wierd guy of 64 who dresses like a fashion exhibit, where you can buy a fucked up anorak for £3599. If you are A) a fuckin idiot AND B) fancy yourself AND C) are suitable pretencious, then look no further.
The best place is Q stores. This shop caters for expesive designer labels, and people flock to Aberdeen from all over the UK to get the latest gear here. It's located in Aberdeen's exclusive Harbour Development, just prior to the tattoo studio but after the bingo. You'll easily locate it from the bus station. PS (WARNING - do not go to the toilets at the bus/train station. Seen 'Dumb & Dumber' - OK you get the picture. Of course if you're a hunky bi male looking for manly fun then don't let me stop you).
- Mackays in Queen Street, just off Broad Street, round the side of Mashall College. Wow what a place. This is where the clothes that everyone forgot to buy came to die. Piles and piles of them mouldering away. The dummies have side burns and are easily mistaken for the staff. This shop is the closest thing to Hotel California that you can experience and still live to tell the tale... unless you enter THE FITTING ROOM aaaaarrrgggghhhh. In the fitting room you get smothered to death by 50000 second hand lab coats size S and XL. Watch out for pins lying on the floor too. I mean wow, this is the only shop that sells stone wash denim cowboy boots for £2.50. But look on the bright side, they do take switch.
- There seems to be a shortage of mens clothes shops in Aberdeen. There are woman's clothes shops everywhere you turn though.
- for the skaters amongst us go to streethreds, granite reef both of which are situated at the green down the stairs next to virgin on union street
- Sk8 clothes????
See Sk8 shops...
Oh actually you could go to McKays near Broad St
- Kafka on Union Terrace and I can't remember the on e I'm thinking of, but it's near Boots on Upperkirkgate.
- Boarderwise kicks ass!
Also Phaze 2 but that changed to something i don't know.
- Depends what type of clothes you go for really. For the skater type look though, best heading to Boarderline on Huntly Street or to ElementZ on just of Belmont Street
- STREETHREDS - Still up and running in 1998.
- JS Allan @ 187-189 Rosemount Place, Aberdeen. tel 01224 310023, mens and ladies clothes shop selling giorgio armani, armani jeans, gianni versace, verscae jeans, cp company hugo boss, plus other labels.
- USC on Union street is probably one of the better shops in Aberdeen; upstairs shoes, downstairs clothes.
- [Closed 1997 : Streethreds used to sell skate stuff and lots of trendy expensive clothing.]
- phaze 2 sell sk8 stuff at schoolhill road
- Elementz. New clothes, skateboard shop open at Gaelic Lane opposite "The Works", not fare from "One Up" music shop. Cool threads and hot hardware - check it out.
- The Kit Bag - Army Surplus shop on George Street. _The_ best place for _proper_ boots.
