  • People, am new 2 aberdeen, i cant find any skate spot/park any where =[ add me on myspace www.myspace.com/skategodvu and tell me where the skate shops are please ? t Thank you
  • dinna skate
  • On top of the St Nicholas centre is where all the goths, punks, emos and skaters hang out
  • RGU!!!!!! the robert gordons uni in garthdee is amazing loads of stairs, ledges, gaps and stuff.neds(or bams)can fuck up your skate going around on their mini motos, dont bother with the garthdee skatepark cause its shit and its infested with little shits determined to look "cool" they get in your way till you fell like killing.
  • Theres all the obvious ones, BT, St nicks, pavillion, theres a few spots tucked away in ferryhill which is down the big hill from BT. None of the spots are very big, just good spots for begginers or people wanting to learn things on smaller stuff before moving it up.
  • Top of The St Nich is popular
  • Now being a decade length skateboarder, I have seen three generations of skateboarders. The older dogs, being the first, myslef and friends being the second and the third being whatever you wanna call them..i donno, there's actually all sorts:- goths, emos, more goth cu*ts, fashion haircuts with bonus skunk stripes, all sorts of crap nonsense like images. What's wrong with just being a skateboarder without trying to portray some crap image, we get enough shit as it is from dickheads without these wee pricks makin it worse. Lets face it, Aberdeen has no proper skatespots anymore. Not like 5 to 10 years ago. St nick is not a skatespot, but a breathing ground for goth hangout bastards with nothing more to talk about in life apart from 'I hate myself, I hate my parents, wah wah wah, HIM is amazing' Fuck sake. Get a life. We used to skate there when it was good and these wee cunts have led it to having iron gates in front of steps and the famous hip which was rad is now unskateable, gee thanks. Broad street's fucked, bt's shiter than ever these days, berryden is poop, the uni is good but is a bust all the time. The beach parks were laughable pathetic jokes!! Denburn is a greasy pissy piss pit which likes to attract bams on pushbikes who just happen to like throwing glass bottles. To be honest the day we get an indoor park I'll be at least 65 and thats over 40 years away. The council sucks cocks and are grippy, selfish bastards with no interest in anybody under the age of 50. It's obvious. Ok, I'm a moaning face cunt, but at least I'm being honest. Why else to we drive to Dundee every week? That's park's pretty pish itself but it beats everywhere else in aberdeen, especially at this time of year!! Yep, I'm moving and I'm glad. Skateboarding + Aberdeen = half the abilities we should be capable of. A moaning face cunt who likes a good moan about Aberdeen.
  • St Nicks, inside the railway station :) outside the college and by the pond thing.
  • Stonehaven. Come down in the summer when the hurricane off the sea has died down and you'll find one of the best mini ramps in Scotland and some sort of street set up in the world famous Paddling pool, nice ledges from wee to knee high and fly off's diveways perhaps a hip if we can be bothered.well at least until they fill it in!
  • The building on Broad Street next to the Marschall College is a good spot also above the St. Nicholas Shopping Centre is where you'll find a lot of skaters.
  • ST NICKS, CULTS SK8PARK, D STREETS OF MILTIMBER BROADSTREET
  • dear everyone who used to hang up at st nicks have u noticed how it has turned into maggotsville i used to hold the place verry dear to hart it was my underage drinking/smoking spot anyone who used to chill there pre 2004 give me an e mail=darth_kenster@ hotmail. co.uk
  • yea the new skatepark down at the beach should be really good. if your dedicated you can go down to help out. the skatepark in portlethen is a scaff hole. A bunch of bams that cant skate go there and there are also a large group of sluts sitting underneath the ramp thinking they look so cool smoking. adivse you not to go! but yea so thats aberdeens skating moved up a rank! yay
  • outside gordon's even tho the pavement is duffed and so falling off is a regular occurance
  • best is st nicks but is best to go durin the week as it gets crowded then there broad street the pavillion can get full of hud riding bams but otherwise is fine BT is best and also "the ledges" outside john lewis but theres a right poofter who wears bright orange from the bon accord centre who tells you to leave so chuck shit at him
  • Near the St Nicholas centre and Marichal College that kinda area. Lots of skaters... pity they are all like 12.
  • lol it was Broad Street before they put barriers all over the dyke!!!!!
  • South College Street Car Park & Grampian Police HQ
  • Broad street's been skate stopped. Those stupid council monkeys thought it was a good idea spending £80,000 skate stopping it. thats twice as much as the pile of poo park at the beach (a wooden park outside in scotland??? good idea! idiots.) so if you come to aberdeen your gonna have to put up with spending a fiver a day skating a park where your wheels sink through the ramps coz theyr all rotten. enjoy!
  • The park down the beach is smart min. there's this chick who works there fa needs it ken.
  • July 2003 - Aberdeen skatepark has re-opened!! Redesigned and complete with a new mini ramp, its looking shit hot. Get down there and support the long term future of skateboarding in Aberdeen and no, its not "too big" ye poofs!
  • all tjhe skate spots mentioned are rubbish.elementz is good if you just want to hang out in tent sized trousers and you dont own a skateboard.
  • St nicks and broad street are the best place's to hang out and skate and anyone who slags people for hanging about on top of st nicks is a wank. its better than standin outside macdonalds slagging people cus they dont look like you for example shoutin "himin ye skater bam cut yer hair n wear proper clyse ye freak."
  • Right now some good skaters are hanging out at Union T gardens coz its hot and there are some nice rails!
  • outside elements. lots of skaters, used to be lots of goths etc, seems they have managed to get rid of them
  • keep the bowl
  • Just came across a new website with an aberdeen skate theme. it's got all the best skaters from aberdeen in all the local spots, there's pictures as well as video clips. looks like it's still under contruction though, but well worth a wee look.you can find it at www.geocities.com/eqnoid
  • BT carpark, top of the St Nicholas centre (although skating is apparently 'STRICTLY PROHIBITED' here), board walk opposite Marischal college
  • Ha Ha Ha.. Tell the monkeys that hang outside Elementz, that if they wanted to look better then stop hanging in droves. Instead of looking cool you look like a bunch of clueless wanks. Get real - you will never be Tony Hawkes and looking like it will not do you justice, especially skating at Broad Street. there is a mega rail for grindz on the crown terrace stairs, do that I dare you. If you're gonna do it - do it properly. Put the board down and find something that suits you. Are you up for the challenge of looking at your self and saying.. Do I get a life now and become an individual in my own right, or wait till the others become individuals - Go figure! there is nothing wrong with skaters, its the f***ers who dress to try and look cool and start the shitty attitudes and can't skate for shit anyway that get me.
  • They're everywhere at schoolhill - so watch out!!!
  • Outside the council buildings on Broad Street seems to be a favourite.
  • Board Stupid's shop on rosemount viaductis pretty cool. Very near Denburn Car park, which is good for skating.
  • ALL GOOD SKATERS MEET UP ON SECRET SPOT! WHICH IS... THE GREEN
  • I believe skaters who can actually skate hang beside the Lemon Tree, folks who like Limp Bizkit and carry skateboards to llok cool generally hang about beside Slaines Castle
  • The old thing the Council Buildings in Broad street are good for is skateboarding. Nothing else useful happens here
  • Broad Street, outside my house.
  • It seems that Dyce skateoark is closed again. The anti skating things have been put up. If you want more info on skating in aberdeen visit www.aberdeenskating.homestead.com/
  • ELEMENTZ a cool place jsut to come and hang.
  • Off the edge of the pier.
  • The best place for skateboarders is under the wheels of my car.
  • Broad Street - Big news in a few weeks the council will put up anti-skating thingys at Broad St Nick Roof BT Building class... Wastelands Go past BT and their is a fence on the right climb over and your there
  • Outside St. Nicholas House. Are these people sad or what
  • Um broad street, st nicholas centre roof, beach rails, police station rails, white rails on broad st, half pipes in westburn, bridge of don, St. machar park, cults. also skate at the skatepark which recantly just opened again.other skatespots are Bt car park roof and lowest level, um car park rails near ski/snow shop, church steps, rails all over the place. 2 June 2000
  • The american mini ramp is long gone and the council half-pipe out in Cults has been resurfaced with rusty metal by them, pretty shit really coz when you slam you get covered in fuckin rust
  • Skateboarders gather and gather they do in Broad Street (not two minutes from the police station) which is quite handy when your pal BRAD knocks a ninety two year old innocent bystander off her feet and on to her now twice broken right hip! Kids of today!!
  • broad street ledges. top quality grindy ledges in town. they are featured in the viewfinder video
  • Down close to the beach.
  • top deck car park on college st I owned a flat opposite, and, though not a boarder, spent hours watching
  • Skatepark reopening april'98 in Dyce thanks to Boarderline.
  • There's a new [summer 97] indoor park in Aberdeen, Dyce to be exact. It has a 12foot mini, funbox/driveway thing, railslide bars, 16ft rollout and a massive quarterpipe with 4ft of vert. It costs £2.50 per 2 hour session. The park can be found in the old ice rink in Stoneywood, Dyce. The bad news is that in September it will be turning back into an ice rink, just when an indoor place to skate is most needed.
  • The main skatespot for locals, pros and the likes, is the top floor of the BT carpark. Livi and Glasgow skaters seem to make regular pilgrimages there too.
  • Also check out what's happening in Banchory.
  • [Summer 96]: There are still some ramps around the city - the one next to the University at St Machar Drive is still there as are some others.
  • Used to be four 12' wide 6' high council mini ramps dotted around the place but they've gone, like the indoor ramp at the exhibition centre. Ramps were at: Cults by BMX track(wood.) Westburn park was fiberglassed but good. Another at Bridge of Don (like Cults) Westburn was best. It was near hospital which is also good. Also 4' high 8' wide mini at American school. (Anon)
