• Whatever happened to JOHN MANSFIELD? He was a great singer guitarist in the 70s and 80s but has since disappeared. He had a great voice and was an excellent guitarist in the club circuit.

• Lisa Scott-Lee, the actually rather horny member of Steps, went to Ysgol Emrys Ap Iwan. I had the privelege of being the sound technician for a couple of school plays in which she starred, for example she played Sandy in the seminal Emrys version of Greece. Looking forward to seeing Steps added to the list of Cool Cymru bands.
• Emrys ap Iwan, a Welsh scholar, was born at Bryn Aber (now a nursing home) on Llanfair Road. Plaque on the wall outside has details about him.
• Martin Wilding plays guitar for The Sons Of Selina and is responsible for the studio work (that's twiddling the knobs to me and you) for Top 40 outfit called Mansun.
• John T Ablethwait. Plays large rabbit with floppy ears in the teletubbies.
