  • Old Kings Hall...unsafe??? yeh right more like the amusements downstairs were a handy place to put all the rubble!!
  • The old penweddig school, so much better than the new jailcell ones
  • The national library and the old castle ruins.
  • The little house shed thing in someone's garden down the alleyway by the church surgery
  • The Old College or Alexander Hall.
  • The National Library
  • There are many beautiful buildings in Aber, but my favourite is the one which holds some of my most extremely drunken memories.... The Glengower Hotel. I rampaged all over that building for several years, and my favourite part is the secret dove cote between the 4th and 5th floors. There is a tiny door that leads into a pigeon infested little stone room... a magic discovery when utterly legless! Alexandra Hall is a close second. Oh how I've ached to be brave (and drunk) enough to explore that building! It has always given me the creeps, but also held a ghostly fascination... imagine what must have gone on within those walls...
  • Penbryn, haha it may be based on the design of an open prison but its home
  • Alexandra Halls, The Old College, The National Library, The War Memorial, The Castle
  • McDonalds! It saved me from starvation during my time at the University!
  • It has to be the extremely spooky Alexandra Hotel which I have been in about five times, although never at night. It is a huge Victorian hotel, uninhabited for many years, full of smashed windows, pitch black corridoors and huge cellars with childrens clothes and toys strewn everywhere. Many people go inside often tramps and junkies so be careful in there!
  • Old College, beautiful gothic mish-mash
  • the bay
  • Rheildol Retial park!
  • Of Course, the Kings Hall
  • Castle and Old College, apart from the trek up the stairs to the computer room looking for left-handed websites!
  • As an ex drama student the old college has a special place in my heart, it seems like there are secret little rooms everywhere and the sea views are spectacular
  • Lenny Towers. Located in Banadl Road, the eerie house was the location for the blockbuster movie "Terror Stalks Lenny Towers" and was prone to freak power cuts.
  • Definetely the Old University Buildings.
  • National Library as long as you don't have to go inside it. Academy looks great and its fun to get pissed in a church.
  • Rocklands. Next to the public toliets on Queens Road. Believed haunted.
  • PUBS AND THERE ARE 21
  • The old Seilo Chapel which prior to demolishion (and conversion into another car park) was a mecca for good old fashioned welsh non -conformism . Plus it was visible from all over town.
  • The Station - I hope Wetherspoons are nice to it.
  • Oooooh, exciting! Station building covered in scaffolding and being tarted up finally. About time. It'll be great when it's finished. Thank God somebody's prepared to spend the money on doing it up.
  • Old College. Alexandra Hall.
  • The Black Lion.
  • The buildings that HSBC, Natwest and Barclays are in are all absolutely gorgeous.
  • ALEXANDRA HALL-A LOT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT THE UNDOUBTED STUPIDITY OF CLOSING IT-AN AMERICAN COMPANY WITH A REP INSURREY? NOW OWN IT-HAVE PLANS TO TURN IT INTO EITHER 60 LUXURY FLATS OR SOCIAL HOUSING-YES I KNOW BOTH WON'T WORK!THE BUILDING COULD BE CURSED AS SINCE IT WAS SOLD IN 86 THER HAVE BEEN AROUND 6 OWNERS-THE CURRENT ONES HAVE PLENTY OF MONEY-SO WHY IS THINGS STILL GOING WRONG.BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF MAY 1986-I FORGET THE EXACT DATE-MAYBE 12TH-THE UNIVERSITY BOUGHT IT FOR AROUND EITHER 500K OR 5 MILL-WHOS WRIGHT-THEY HAD DRAWN UP FULL PLANS WHEREBY WORK WOULD START AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THE SUMMER TERM 86-WORK WOULD CARRY ON 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK TO ATTEMPT A QUICK JOB.THE BUILDERS WERE UNDER 6 FIGURE PENALTY CLAUSES FOR EACH DAY LATE!!!!THEN BY MIDWAY THROUGH THE 86 SUMMER TERM IT WAS ESTABLISHED THER WOULD BE 165 BEDROMMS(WHAT AN EFFECT IT WOULD HAVE AON THE CURRENT SITUATION OF CONCERN AMONGST LOCALS OVER THE PROLIFERATION OF .H.M.O,S)SINCE AS WELL THAT THERE IS NOWHERE FOR PARKING FOR SOCIAL HOUSING OR INDEED LUXURY FLATS AS YET ANOTHER THING-BUT MIDWAY THROUGH 86 SUMMER TERM THE UNI ACTUALLY DID INTERNAL INTERVIEWING FOR 2 CLEANERS AND 1 PORTER THEN SUDDENLY CANCELLED THE PLANS-NO ONE HAS YET SAID WHY-THE UNI JOINING WITH THE CURRNET MONIED OWNERS WOULD SEEM REASONABLE-WHAT DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK??
  • If you sit on the War Memorial steps by the Castle on a summer's day you get a great view of Cardigan Bay.It's also great to sit outside the Glengower with a pint and watch the sun go down.
  • castle good place 2 go 4 sly spliff
  • The derilict halls at the far end of the seafront, by Constitution Hill. This building could have so much potential if the Uni got it's arse in gear and re-did it. Then they could get rid of Pen-grimm and other cell-like halls.
  • Station - also to be converted into a pub soon, following the conversion of a church (by the market) into the Academy.
  • I love em all
  • It has to be the King's Hall. A fantastic pink 1930's architectural dream for a seaside town - which was demolished sometime in the 1980s to make way for what was temporarily the 'King's Hall carpark' (ever thought of where that carpark got it's name, all you people complaining about the new white buidling?!)and then eventually this seemingly unpopular new development.
  • The station building is great, although I'm sure that'll change when it gets developed on. And yes... the Ally Pally is truly magnificent, despite the boarded up windows.
  • Alexandra Hall- sold off a couple of decades ago to finance the village which is encroaching on Penglais Woods. An unbelievably stupid move.
  • National Library of Wales (and all of its contents!)
  • Alexandra Hall - listed, abandoned, and (sadly) condemmed as unfit for human habitation.
  • The old College. I spent an afternoon there with a friend exploring every nook and cranny. Bizarre collection of architectural styles. The building that Siop y Pethe is in. Also Pantycellyn Hall - for sentimental reasons.
