Record Shops
- Andy's records is run by a complete twat. DO NOT go there
- It is 2008! Andy's Records is still going strong at 16 Northgate Street. 3 doors along from the once-famous Coopers Arms. BackBeat has gone.Solution has gone.Woolies is still shit and getting worse. Smiths are out of the picture.Morrisons are good for nothing but chart titles. Julian Shelley now sells guitars instead of CDs & Lps. Oxfam sells used CDs LPs DVDs. "and the times they are a- changin"
- Oxfam. second hand selection of cds and lots of vinyl
- Oxfam s/hand records and cds... Northgate St
- Andys records- expensive though
- Backbeat records (cool and relevant) lots of interesting vinyl.
- ....Andy's records...the Art centre at the uni
- This list is well out of date. Backbeat has easily taken over from Andys as the best place in town for good music.
- Andy's is ace and back beats ok
- backbeat records and andys records
- Andy's Records but this will already have been said
- Backbeat Records sell/buys non chart/vintage music.
- Again, Andy's, but they need decks in there so we can listen to records before buying. Also it's not cheap compared to other independant shops in other cities.
- The only real choice is Andy's Records
- Andy's Records is the big cheese of the town. Although there's a tiny new place in town selling old Acid Jazz and Doo-Wop records. Quite cool. Forgotten it's name though..
- Andies records, well sly! Loads of obscure sounds.
- The best record shop for proper records had to be good old Julian shelleys! He has awesome stuff - all old beatles records in mint condition and delights such as jethro tulls records with stories about hares and spectacles on them
- I bought the last copy of the Crocketts EP Hello and good Morning which Andy's Records could get their hands on in 1999.
- ANDYS RECORDS AND WOOLWORTHS are only places Worth going TBH!
- andys records, practically the only record shop in Aber
- Andy's Records sucks; the staff think they're very clever and superior, thus meaning they can treat the majority of their customers like crap. Go into a decent independent record store in any major city and the difference is incredible. And saying Aber is only a small place isn't an excuse for rudeness, and a total lack of respect
- Andy's Records in Northgate Street / Stryd y Dollborth. A great independent record shop with staff who know their music.
- Better still........get 'em off the web,I've used them to buy over 100 CD's
Check 'em out on their Web site((They'll even get them to Aberystwyth
for the next day....Faster than Andy's and delivered to your door, and you'll
save enough money to buy yourself a bottle of plonk to listen to it with.
- Andy's, Andy's and once again, Andy's. Maybe Julian Shelley's place where andy's used to be before they moved....
- Andys is a decent shop, to be honest, and they can order in pretty much anything you want (even if they are a bit dismissive of anyone who likes indie or punk).
- andy's are shifting loads of yinyl at £1 a piece at the moment. good stuff too.
- Andy's stil the best - although there is a second hand place run by the Shelleys - Julian does th music bit - and you can sometimes pick up a decent deal.
- Andies Records...the guy has a monopoly and feels he can be rude to anyone
Personally I go to HMV in Birmingham for my stuff thank you.
- Andy's Records frequently has stuff I can't even find in Manchester.
- O.k, well, Solution Records is no longer there- its now a tatooists. So rthe only choice is Andy's which has moved a few doors down and is now much bigger. (Also has lovely assisatant in the form of Ed U)
- Andy's, all the latest Indie and techno stuff.
- Solution Records - opened November 1996 - featuring the latest happy hardcore, techno, hardhouse, and chicago/detroit house etc. Much improved since first opened. The only real way you're gonna get your favourite independant choonz. Andy's Records is OK, but Solution is good for your harder stuff...
- Solution records has closed down. There's now a really dodgy tatoo parlour where it used to stand.
