• i dont skateboard but all my mates did at the station/taxi rank untill the gay skatepark arrived
• Can't beat Emerica shoes ... been wearing them FOREVER, nowt townie about it thanks! The more skatewear in Aber the better, fed up of trawlin the net. Stick your feet in some Heritics and get converted!!
• Where have you been hiding? Stormriders has been selling a huge selection of real skate shoes from DC, Duffs, Globe, Osiris, IPath since 2000 a.d. !!!! Definately no punk,townie,street footwear clodhopping into Stormies.
• You may like to know that there's a shoe store coming to Aber - June 05 - that actually has a section selling pro skate shoes ... Adio, Emerica, Es. No fashion brands, just the good stuff. Finally! The shop's called Klodhoppers UK on Pier Street and the sick skate & punk section's gonna be upstairs, it's called K-Zone ... The 21st Century finally ollies it's way into Aberystwyth ;o)

• Hey ppl .. i've been looking up all the spots in aber and yet no one has mentioned to colledge.. its got a 5 set and some sweet f***ing ledges .. a bit sketchy but they work.. and if you got round the side of safeway by the loading bay theres a nice little ledge plenty of run up just like ollieing a curb with a two foot drop on the other side, nice for flip tricks.. theres a small 8 set down the avenue which i havent tried yet but its on my to do list.. also some wierd little ledge which is quite fun.. up the castle there are a few little gaps which are good for practicing on but the landings are too short, so its a case of having really loose trucks to roll away .. or fall down a f***ing steep grass bank.. cant think of any more so if i find any i'll let you all know
• Reasonable new skateboard park on the Safeway road out of town, free access, maintained by the council.

• Sommerfield, Uni, Padarn, Kings Hall, Spot X.[see local press for details]
• Best spot- the taxi rank, outside King's Hall Restaurant is ok, and the skate park is passable but miniature!
• Ask the friendly local guys in Stormriders by the station. Most of the core locals hang out in there.
• The whole town is a Skateboard Place, but they have a park near the 40 signs on the Main road into town (the new A487(T) Road).
• The skateboard park you mentioned on Boulevard St Brieuc / Park Avenue is now fully equipped and up and running. It was funded by the Town Council. You'd have to ask a skateboarder how good it is but its certainly very popular. I don't know of one in Aberaeron.
• The skate park is here now, with a mini pipe, a couple of quater pipes and fun box, a waxed rail, and some stupid ramp in a stupid position. Most people skate here now. The St Padarns school play ground is also a big skating area with lots of smooth flat banks.
• Aberystwyth has invested quite a bit of money in a quite good skate board park opposite the police station where kids can skate and rollerblade in nice surroundings. Despite bad press locally it is drug and alcohol free and as a father i must say the kids are very polite and ready to help.

• The 'skateboard park' on San-Brieuic/Park avenue has now been completed. Its not the biggest park in the world, but it is the biggest in Aberystwyth and has a couple of ramps, rails and stuff..Not great, but better than a smack in the eye.
• There is a skate park (hah!) on San-Brieuic/Park avenue. It is just a flat space of tarmac with a fence around it, though.
• Beside the station. on seafront.
• Skateboard park under construction - But in Aberaeron. Apparently Aber will also get one when the council budget allows for it, so lets all pray they get rich.
• sorry no such place except for the ramps outside Kings Hall but they aint worth the pain.
• Outside the Kings Hall Carvery, on the seafront... nice ramps up to a raised area, steps to jump off, etc. Behind B-Wise, although mostly used by cyclists for trick riding. Smooth flat area, with kerbs and a higher platform at one side *ALSO* plans for a new skateboard park to be made at Parc-y-llyn, by McDonalds, although there have been MANY complaints by residents about the bad influence it will have, etc. Hopefully it'll go ahead though.
• Mini ramps, all gone. 1) Street ramps at the harbour, small funbox, nice wooden bank, waxed curbs, slide bar. Has potential to become much better. The center of Skate-boarding in Aber. 2) Penglais school. Long steep bank. Smooth courts for flatland stuff. Nice bump for Ollies. pavement to pavement gap and pillars to Ollie. 3) University. Various size stairs, ranging from 3 to 8. Waxed ledges. Handrails. Smooth carparks. Gaps and drops. Steep, steep hill to bomb down, when you cannot be bothered to mess around with tricks. 4) Gateways, soon to be waxed curbs. Islands to ollie, manual etc... Wall. Gaps.
