- There are some nice shops in Aldeburgh but beware - can be expensive
- Smith's Bakery's fresh bread & Pasties beat the fish & chips anyday!!
- GETTING SMASHED IN DAVID'S PLACE ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, FOLLOWED BY FISH & CHIPS.
- Aldeburgh carnival the weekend before the August bank holiday. Also the pubs are great, White hart, Victoria, Mill and Railway, not the Cross Keys though that is full of the hoorays!!
- The Lighthouse restaurant - don't miss it!
- Watching the fireworks on the beach over the sea (Bank Holiday Monday in August every year)
- Sleepy Suffolk Town that takes life at it's own pace
- Aldeburgh has wonderful footpaths that take you all the way into Thorpeness. It was wonderful beach homes that you can rent that are truely get-a-way spots. Aldeburgh is a fantastic place to get in touch with nature and its surroundings. I highly recommend it.
- Little fishing boats landing their catch on the shore where you can buy the fish still flapping, and take it home for breakfast, or dinner according to the tide.
- Quiet, secluded, friendly people, a wealth of culture
