Cheap Food
- I should have read the guide first, went to Aldeburgh today 25 march 2010 we stopped and had a cup of tea and small slice of cheesecake at the Aldeburgh market cafe next to Jack wills, avoid avoid, £9.80p :-0 you have been warned, plus after we Queried the price was told £2.50 extra charge was for privilage of a plate and cutlery, Nice, some ponce from the smoke might be happy to pay that, but as a near local we are not, so don't get bit like us.
- The Aisha Balti House has half a dozen tables and badly needs your trade in the winter!! The owner Mac is the most hospitable guy without being intrusive, the food is good quality and averagely priced for Indian cuisine. We always eat there when we stay at Aldeburgh. Check out Mac's other restaurant, Cinnamon, in Leiston.
- Smith's Bakery offer a great choice of snacks for a lunch on the beach, & at a reasonable price, which is rare for Aldeburgh. Just try the huge selection on filled rolls!!!
- SMITH'S BAKERY IS THE BEST PLACE IN TOWN FOR A QUICK BITE TO EAT, WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY THE 'USUAL' CRAZY ALDEBURGH PRICES
- Has to be the Lighthouse - a proper restaurant, so not dirt cheap, but still great value for brilliant food that wouldn't be out of place in the West End of London. I'm told Gavin Battle is a chef destined for greatness. Always booked out well in advance...
- best fish and chips in the world
- Staying within the law...well just remember not to trust everyone. Remember that some people will screw you and not pay money owed. I think it is called theft. By the way Aldeburgh Fine Foods do food.
- 2 fish and chip shops, the lighthouse brasserie, tea rooms , chinese (the Rising Sun) and thats you're lot
- The chip shop in Aldeburgh often has a queue which stretches for miles. And there's a very good reason for this.
