- Excellent, uncrowded beaches. Friendly and generally tolerant atmosphere. Low crime rate. Alderney Week (carnival, 1st week of August)
- The many Nazi built bunkers, and forts are a must for WWII enthusiasts. They're everywhere... but probably hide a very grim secret or two.
- Knowing almost everyone you meet in the pub.
- The Best thing this year will be the summer.....its one long party.......Alderney
