Cafes and Coffee Shops in Aldershot, Hampshire*

High tea and a sticky bun

You can tell us more about Aldershot.

Cafes and Coffee Shops
  • Greggs for cakes for definite, but theres also a small bakery on ash road near the beehive pub, they often have extra cakes near the end of the working day so if your lucky they may give you an extra belgian bun.
  • Coffee Culture, Morelli's, Cafe Prego... Ilcafe was good, but that's now closed. It alwasy looked empty, funnily enough so did Wimpy which was in the same place before it!! There are some great greasy spoons, like my personal favourite Frankies, or Jennys. Go to Guildford for Starbucks, as there are 3 there!!! There is an amazing cafe in Cockfosters, but I think that's probably a bit far to go. But still, go to Waterloo, and go up there. It's really worth it!!
  • The greasy spoons are few and far between these days, Il Cafe in The Galleries, Cafe Prego in The Wellington Centre and Coffee Culture in The Arcade have all encouraged the standards to rise.
  • The new Coffee Shop in the Arcade is quite good its always quiet and they do some nice cakes!!!!
  • Aldershot's a little bit too down market for cafe culture or coffee shops.
  • Coffee Culture, Il Cafe and Cafe Prego are really nice!
  • Mediocre You have to visit Macaris-they have been around as long as TONYS chip shop. Mr Macari produced many little Macaris.
  • Il Café at the bottom of the Galleries is a nice fresh looking café which does delicious hot chocolates with squirty cream and marshmallows for only 95p!
  • a coffee shop that didn't sell chips would be nice !!
  • Without them it just wouldn't be Aldershot. One on every corner. Most make 'Greasy Joe's seem posh. Best in town is Frankies.
  • Starbucks, in the wellinton centre
  • yes very good Ilike coffee very good
  • jennies cafe by the wellington centre, good place to hang out if you have the price of a coffee.
  • New one has opened up in bottom of Wellington Centre - always seems to be empty though (mind you so did Wimpys when it used to be in the same place). Jenny's is supposed to be good. Don't use the one a few shops down from B Wise on the same side - should have been closed down years ago from what I've heard - cheap but wots the point if you spend the rest of the day throwing up! Nice coffee shop down North Lane in North Town part of Aldershot though - well worth a look. Ash Road has a really good Cafe known as the Panda Cafe - cheap and has excellent service and huge portions.
  • Jenny's is brilliant for a Sunday morning fryup after a good night out the night before. The only two decent pubs in Aldershot today are the Hogs Head and Yate's wine Bar.
