- McDermids, a local family business have three outlets in the town, Mitchell Way and Main Street in the town centre and opposite the bus stance in Balloch. All three endeavour to be supermarkets as they have different entrance and exit doors so you have to walk past the check out to get outside.
- Strangs Newsagent in Jamestown Main Street wins all the prizes in this category, not just a newsagent, more of a convenience store with long opening hours.
