• The chippy next door to the Old Sun is a must for all your nutritional requirements. Just make a note of the 'phone no. when you go past and pre order 2 - 3 hours in advance, an ideal opportunity to sample the Old Sun's fine beverages.
• Fajitas (a Mexican restaurant) is the most popular in town.
• Ampthill is full of places to eat, which is quite suprising considering its size. Top of the list is the Raj Gate indian, this is with out a doubt one of the best curry houses I've been to - it is hard to find anyone who has had a bad meal there. There are another two sit down indians and a take-way, steer clear of the Almeda, which is v.poor. There is a quality chinese, the Dewdrop which is highly recommended, just watch your bill because they magically add items especially if you're a bit pissed. The other chinese and the Take Away are workman like. One of the jewels in the Ampthill crown is the Mexican Fajhitas, the service is a bit poor but the food is good and reasonable. Italian wise there is Donatellos - which is apparent quite shit, Flying Pizza is take away only but fairly good. Finally there is a Thai at the White Hart, now I was kept waiting for 1.5 hours for a main course, but it was top quality when it arrived, make your own mind up !!
