- Andover 2007, Surprising Andover is pretty good when it comes to Live Music. The Station, The Anton and The Angel, have live bands on every Saturday. The Queen Charlotte, The Borough Arms, and The Lamb, The Town Mills, have bands on about once a month. Propoganda has bands on most Thursday. A few of the Clubs also do live music, Wolversdeane club Enham, and Central club. The only one doing original music is the George.
- Propaganda Music Canteen on London Street has Live Music every Thursday night.
- The Station Hotel, in April 2006 held its second beer and music weekend. There were some really good local bands playing, including Blue Kenny, Less is More, and Eastwood. Place was packed espically on Saturday night.
- Quite a few places to see live music in Andover now, but this has changed a bit in 2006. The Anton and the Station have bands every Saturday. The Angel & The Railway Tavern don't any more. The Borough Arms, The Chestnut Tree, Queen Charlote, have bands about once a month. The Enham Club & The Wolversdene club have bands every Saturday (£2 to non members), a there is a new venue where the redbridge used to be, does music every Thursday.
- Quite a few place's to see live music in Andover now. The Angel - has bands most Fridays. Anton Arms - has bands every Saturday, as does The George. Both the Railway Tavern, and the Station are both under new ownership and starting to put on live bands. I also think the Wellington still does stuff
- The Andover Light Orchestra no longer rehearse at Harrow Way School, we now rehearse in St John the Baptist Church Hall in Alexandra Road, Andover At 7.15 on Thursdays, we would welcome more string players.
- Ok I cant really say anything possitive about Andover any more, the town is shit bassically. Top your self, or make it your main ambition in life to get the hell out of there. Oh and if your thinking of visiting Andover, then nail your face to your wallpaper now!!!
- The Royal Oak in Charlton hosted a local band " Eleventh Hour", it was a great gig, brilliant atmosphere. Look out for the band when they play their next gig!
- The Andover Light Orchestra rehearse weekly at Harroway School Main Hall and are always looking for musicians to join the happy throng! We have plenty of woodwind and brass but are actively looking for string and percussion players.
- Monkey Typewriter (www.monkeytypewriter.net) have started putting gigs on at Andover Guildhall. At the moment, there is a monthly event to showcase local music.
- Thursdays Cheese nights have just started and are going down a storm, LOADS of decent birds like me and blokes with more money than sense...Cant beat Chaplins for an early drink, it's open @ 8.30 fri and sat and is only £1 a drink. Better than spending a fortune anywhere else. The Dj's a complete babe, she manages to make Karaoke sexy, but then when you can win £500 anything is sexy!!
- WELLY & BOROUGH HAVE SOME GOOD BANDS. BEST OUT OF TOWN IS THE RACK AND MANGER.
CHECK OUT 'PURPLE MONKEY' NOT TO BE MISSED...VERY ENTERTAINING.
- A local promotion group, Monkey Typewriter, have just started putting on monthly gigs at Andover Guildhall featuring bands from the area of all genres. Best thing happening in Andover at the moment! Visit www.monkeytypewriter.net for more info
- Biggish bands play in the Saisbury Art centre. One Minute Silence has played there before, along with King Prawn (not together that would be silly....) and some other bigger bands.
- George inn. Live band most thursdays and alternative Dj friday nights...
- The George is a great place to go if you're into everything "alternative". Punk, ska, rock and nu metal bands play every Thursday and it's open till 12. Bit cramped but its got really comfy sofas!
- The George nr George Yard Car Park. Thursday's - free live music - always really good bands!
Friday's - rock DJ's playing rock of all types!
Saturday's - same as Friday's
Sunday's - acoustic open mike
Entrance is free and the pub is open to 12:00 midnight. The food is pretty good there too.

- Wellington Pub probably still a good place for live local talent
- Your own walkman will be betta than anything else on offer, Homelands in June, or for live music try Bash's Guff Night.. A new night in Andover where you can here the Grandmaster Bash trump out some of the favourites of Andover, like...
..."I am the music man.."
- The Globe is good for music on Saturdays. If you can get in there!
Avoid the Bowling alley though, theres no totty and the music is dreadful!
- Good home-grown rock nights at various pubs including The Wellington (Welly) and The Swallow.
- Andover Rugby Club do gigs from time to time.
- The Station Hotel used to be good but now sux and apparently has lost it's licence.
