• The best thing about my childhood was growing up in Appleshaw.I still miss it now,having moved away from the village 28 years ago.Lots of fond memories,including 'hanging out'at the bottom of the playing field. Only go back now to visit my Mums grave,and show my daughter places like where we used to go scrumping.Went to the pub once,but no one was interested in talking.I felt like an outsider,which,I guess, I am. What has happened to the church?
• the best things for me is the peacefullness this village has and also the woods has to be my elka's favourite thing when going on a long walk with my grandad and his little dog heidi.
• the walks, when u wanna chill and the fact that u can get away from it all, the people and the generally chilled atmosphere, appleshaw ain't made up entirely of snobs ya know!
• The setting. It's small, quiet, the countryside is lovely and so are most of the people. And, unlike Andover, we don't attract the droves of boy racers with beat up novas who hammer around the streets.
