- I agree the Top House has had better days - best place to watch the footie though - the atmosphere is great.
The Crown is okay but watch out for the land lady she's a rotweiller!
- The Ship is over 400 years old, is built over a well that is supplied by a natural spring and it is reported that there are smuggler tunnels between the pub, church, mardyke (local river) and Belhus Park. Go in buy a beer and ask the landlord.
- the TOP HOUSE..although declined somewhat since those jazzfunk days and the crazy summer of love days in `89.
crown and anchor: ok(ish) sort of pub..serves food and has sky tv
- Crown and Anchor is good - the Top House clientele makes me feel VERY old - the Ship has a snooker room upstairs that is little known.
