- the ayr odeon should be turned back in to the original single screen that it was up to the 80`s, it was massive and held 2000 folk. so should the mecc bingo it held 3000 folk. babylon was a big picture house as well(the orient).
- Odeon...hehe and theres another Odeon which is HUGE in Kilmarnock.
- For the person who called the Odean an ugly 50's building, perhaps he should get his facts straight. It's a 30's building. :) It is rather awkward to get a parking space in though if you have a car. I'm really surprised there hasn't been a big multiplex open in Ayr.
- TOWN CENTRE
- Don't bother with the Odeon in Ayr. Its a relic from the 1950's and should be knocked down along with the Council offices next door. Major eyesore.
- The Odeon. I visited this establishment twice weekly, since Lethal Weapon 4 which was the first movie in Dolby Digital. Amazing, absolutely amazing. I used to go to Asda, buy cheap sweeties and smuggle them in with my best friend Johnno.
- The Odeon's a bit grotty these days, and a frequent haunt of Ayr's drunk and disorderlies wanting somewhere to relieve themselves. I always to up to Kilmarnock Odeon - its worth the journey.
- personally i go to kilmarnock. in comparrison ayr odeon eats some serious ass. also theres a KFC right next to the killie odeon...mmm finger lickin goodness.
- Ayr Odeon is pretty crappy - specially for money. Odeon 4 is only half decent screen and even then leg room is crap (5ft 10" or over and you notice). Go to killie!
- The Odeon in Burns Statue Square. Pretty good, cos it's convinient. Admittedly not the biggest, best or cleanest, but it does its job. They don't have many screens though, so you'll have to go to the Killie one for anything less mainstream.
- The odeon is the only one in ayr, but it is the best for miles
- The Odeon in Burns Statue Square. It's ok, but I'm honestly surprised somebody like UCI hasn't opened a new multiplex in the town. Though it must be said that Ayr is one of the few towns that can still seem to support a cinema.
- Its ok.I wouldnt travel somewhere else to see a film that was also showing in Ayr. A cinema's a cinema.
- The Odeon in Burns Statue Square. It's the only Cinema in the area unless you go to Kilmarnock.
- There the Cinema in Burns Statue Square. It's not too great but it's better than nowt.
- go to killie, cheaper, larger and they do great slushes.
- go to Killie odeon. Much better than Ayr's.
- Odeon - Burns Statue Square - S***e! one of the screens sits at an angle to the seats! It's Murder. Go to the new one in Kilmarnock instead.
- Ayr Odeon, ok, but Kilmarnock's is much better. Millers bar has a 16 lane bowling alley above it, as well as a cool laser quest
- Overshadowed by the superior Odeon multiplex in Kilmarnock.
- Well The Odeon is still the same as it always has been standard 4 screen cinema but I wouldnt travel far to it unless there was a film that i really wanted to see. There is a rumour that there is going to be a Virgin/MGM multiplex being built sometime in the future at Heathfield Retail Park which would be brilliant there is also going to be a bowling alley and a laser quest thing and a burger king/KFC/Pizza Hut/McDonalds - Pizza Hut and KFC are being built just now
- The cinema is pretty old and out of date but it's still better than the one in Kilmarnock Highstreet.
