- Don't forget Backwell Village Club, tucked away up the lane opposite The George. Snooker tables, pool table, skittle alley, darts, £250 slot machine, and CHEAP booze.
- The George Inn - fabulous food. The 6.50 board is great if you fancy something tasty on a budget. The specials are clearly designed for customers who are a little more adverturous and like delicious food. I couldn't have asked for more when the desserts turned up - proper homemade dishes. I've not eaten food like this in a pub for a while. I enjoyed it so much we've even booked a table for us and the family for xmas day. The atmostphere was great and the surroundings in the restaurant was superb. Well done!!! I did have to wait a little (35mins) for main course but hey, it gave me the chance to get a second drink in ;). I can't comment on the other pubs in the area but if they are of similar standard, i'll be very impressed. I'm gutted i don't live in Backwell between this and the indian i'd be in food heaven.
