• The Diner in Dufferin Avenue is the best place in Bangor 4 something cheap and cheerful, most definately the best fry in bangor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
• Piccola are robbing bastards. Do not eat here, they buy the scraps from butchers and their pizza base is the left overs from Dominoes. They used to be good, but I have seen the light. SPICE ISLAND RULES. All their products are the cheapest they can find. AND THEY ARENT EVEN ITALIANS. Try Iranians.

• The new chippie in Abbey Street is superb. I can't praise it highly enough. Calling the owners of all the other chip shops in Bangor.... This is what happens when your staff doesn't solely consist of 16 year old pram faces from the local estates with Scooter pumping out of the stereo as they serve you
• I'd just like to say that I was in bangor the other day for lunch and went to the jamaica inn. AVOID THERE UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. The kitchen door opened and I near got the shock of my life the kitchen was black and the chef was a fat dirty ****. After seeing that I couldnt eat my lunch but I will say when I cut the burger opened it was raw!!
• Lord Nelsons in The Marine Court Hotel is always good for food all day from 12. the stevedor upstairs in the Marine Court is a more posh restaurant and there is no dress code, The menu is different to Nelsons but you can get Nelsons menu, the view from the restaurant is of Belfast lough and Bangor Marina
• For a sit down dinner it has to be the jamica inn, on a saturday nite after loads of booze head to the golden dragon 4 food poisoning
• Piccolo's (Piccola's, in fact) at the bottom of High Street serves the best freshly-made pizza in town; much nicer than anywhere else and much cheaper than Pizza Hut, although once can sit in at Pizza Hut. The staff are very pleasant and the chips are also good, but sometimes too salty.

• Country Fried Chicken do the lushest Chicken Burgers! Just don't ask what's in their Chicken Gravy (aka that brown stuff on the super chips)!
• Pauls on the seafront, probabaly the best chips in the world. Oh and really nice hawaian burgers. Papa Joes hot and spicy!!!!

• On a saturday night after a drinking session it is a absoulute must to go to COUNTRY FRIED CHICKEN! If you do decide to go, you have to get a chicken chip kebab with chicken sauce! It is to die for!!!

• Burger King Is not full of Miserable wankers. I worked there and was never miserable apart from when I found out I was going to be working till 3 0'clock and I had school next day and was very tired. So have a heart people in BK are overworked thanks to the slavedriver supervisors.

• Calypso is often a drunken alternative to Piccolas on a Saturday night but beware, many steeks (falling out of Windsor after one too many vodka+red bulls) and the foreigners that work there will put anything you ask for on your chips.....
• Subway - very nice indeed! Burger King - disgusting as ever! Papa Joes - nice food, too much chicken though! McMillens - nice. The Ganges - lovely curries! Bryansburn - nice. Phoenix Chinese - very nice! Pizza Hut - shite. And I used to work there, so i should know!
• Allens bar and restaurant - the bar staff ie. Paula, Scott, Rusty etc. will put you off your meal before even ordering! Paula looks like a rat!

• Crisp and Dry at the top of High Street.....you'll never get finer Chicken Goujons or Cheesy chips.
• In Allens bar & restaurant, you'll get a really nice meal at a really nice price! The food is immense!!! Also the live band entertainment is good for slagging! Great night out !!!!!!!!

• Bunters is the best chippie. On the Clandeboye Road. Burger King are miserable sods. Use Pauls for late night chips. Mauds ice cream (High Street ) is a must for Pooh Bear ice cream. Knuttles is a good restaurant; it's on Greys Hill.

• Loads of restaurants, take-aways to choose from. Shanks at Blackwood Golf Centre has got 3 Michelin stars...the Steamer is a bar and restaurant, truly excellent food and atmosphere, try it...
