  • Rachel Stevens lived in Barnet all her life until she was 22 when she moved to Hampstead a year after she made it big with S Club 7!
  • Let me see... various sports people in Hadley, like Dennis Bergkamp, Lennox Lewis and probably others. Jeremy Beadle also lives in Hadley! As do (or did - not sure) Paul & Helen from Big Brother series 2. Oooh!
  • Mickey Most, the record producer (and dad of someone in Brother Beyond) lived in Totteridge Lane. Used to see Mandy Smith (ex wife of Bill Wyman) and the Beverley Sisters in Totteridge Waitrose. Spike Milligan lived in several houses around Woodside Park, Totteridge, Barnet and Hadley Wood. Kingsley Amis lived with his wife Elizabeth Jane Howard (the novelist) in Hadley Wood in the 70s (see Martin Amis's book 'Experience'). Jeremy Beadle also lived around Hadley Wood, my sister was briefly friends with his daughter!
  • Humphrey Lyttleton. Tony Blackburn. Various footballers. Cliff Richard used to live in Totteridge. Carl Palmer (who??). All kinds of minor celebs whose names escape me right now.
  • Paul Young, Lee Thompson (Madness), Lennox Lewis, Jeremy Beadle,
  • Lee Thompson of Madness. Chatted to him in the Monk. Seems OK but looks old.
