• The best place out of all of the many cafes on Barnet HIgh Street is definately Pacinos. It's behind the church where the road splits into the High Street and Wood Street. They do wonderful coffee and brilliant food - whether you want pasta, ciabatta or just a plain old sandwich, which seems to be rare nowadays. Good, friendly service and not pretentious, like a lot of Italian coffee shops.
• Loads of cafes etc - Pacinos near the church is good and the 2 in the spires. Cafe In Trent Park and one in Oakhill Park.

• Starbucks, oasis, costa coffe, coffee republic opening soon on Finchley high st.
• STRABUCKS, expensive, but yummy and 'trendy' The Coffee Bean in the Spires is a cheaper! but still nice
• Starbucks just opened in the High Street. But for no-nonsense nosh it has to be Dory's caff: in St Albans road before the Market. Excellent toasted bacon sarny and big mug of tea is what you want. Three sugars in mine, ta. Also small caff in the market (Wed + Sats) for similar or maybe cheap lunch in cozy, sqeezed-in hut while reading the paper. Yes please.
• STARBUCKS just opened in the High Street by the SPIRES entrance.
