Cinemas
  • well since odeon shut we didn't have a cinema for ages but a new one has just opened up called parkway cinema. still hardly shows any films whatsoever and i'm yet to go in there yet
  • barnsley cinema re opens on wednesday as a parkway cinema
  • wish there was still sumwere in tarn to see a film erd rumers sumats ont way can any1 clarify that
  • Its bin closed darn. the bastards!
  • erm there was the odeon before it got closed down and boarded up now its off the bloody meadowhell or wakey(snigger)
  • No cinema left anymore since the Odeon closed down, shame really, it was dingy and could've really done with a lick of paint but now you've gotta travel to Sheffield or Wakey for a film and they're much more expensive tickets.
  • odeo tlk abart mardy ba*t*r*s theyalways have smile on floor, n u say 1 word during the film ur out, its best when u watch sumet scary, then u can thro popcorn alother and just say u got scared .
  • odeans or8 bit shite like
  • Bit crap in tarn would go to Wakfield
  • cineworld at wakefield on retail park is good, you can pre book seats go to mc donalds or pizza hut and finish off in time for sitting down to watch a good movie and always a good selection. + sat morning club for the kids my daughter loves it.
  • Go to Cineworld at Wakie
  • The Odeon - it's small
  • barnsley cinema sux big time cineworld in wakie is the best in yorkshire
  • ONLY GOT THE ODEON AND MEADOWHALL NOT FAR AWAY
  • the odean at barnsley is good, clean and no noise, however i would travel to watch something at wakefield
  • Odeon is shit for variaty, but on the otherhand its cheap and the seats are more comfey now they have been changed
  • The Odeon sucks major cock.
  • dont go to the odeon! it might collapse while u r in it! go 2 meadowhall and the cinema there!
  • odeon - dont go it sux
  • Go to Meadowhall- the floor isn't as likley to swallow you up before the film ends!
  • If you want a cheap nite then the Barnsley Odeon is ok now theyve done it up but otherwise its probably best going to Meadowhall cos thers a lot more choice.
  • Odeon, it sucks
  • There are 2 good things about the Odeon in Barnsley centre, 1)it's way cheaper than anywhere else 2)the fridge of haagen daas in the foyer! For God's sake give the place a lick of paint!!!
  • Odeon... KRAP!!! 2 screens n abart 3 films showin... seats n that a not r8 healthy either, tek a deck chair u mite b comfier!!
  • Barnsley Odeon, it's sooo rubbish. Do NOT travel miles to come to this ancient, mess of a cinema. They usually only have achoice of two or three films, and to be honest you'd be better off going to Sheffield or Meadowhall.
  • They can soon build a 12-screen multiplex on the site of Oakwell, then for the first time in donkeys years, people can claim they've been entertained at Oakwell.
  • The cinema is a decrepit fleapit which ought to be demolished immediately. Other neighbouring towns and cities like Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Chesterfield and Doncaster have 10-screen multiplexes, so why not Barnsley? The Warner Village at Meadowhall and Ster Cinema at The Light in Leeds are far better, but then they couldn't possibly be worse.
  • odeon, bit of a dump tho, ant bin there in years
  • 1 ******* odeon and a bowling place, not even a good one that that, odeon been re-furbished and is pretty sweet now
  • All we have is the Odeon, where the projector is illuminated with a candle, and has a monkey cranking the handle.
  • Odeon - a fleapit which is about as inviting as Lenin's tomb, and is at least 30 years overdue for demolition and replacement.
  • Rubbish odeon with not enough screens
  • Odeon wants refurbishin i will admit that the chairs are like sitting on ablock of concrete...
  • well, wot can u se abart barnsley cinemas other than fetch ur own chair and speakers oh, and maybe a few cushions
  • Penistone Cinema. They have intervals just so you forget the first half of the film and have to go and see it again.
  • One pokey little hole, again don't bother!
  • Barnsley cinema is out of the arc!
  • Odean is cheep but i suggest you take your own chair
  • The Barnsley Odeon is rubbish - too small, wonky speakers. Better than nothing I suppose.
  • Odeon but i prefer Sheffield at meadowhall warner bros. cinema or at the megaplex.
  • Once got a blow-job in The Odeon inthe middle of Naked Gun 2. There were only us two in the whole place. Just about sums it up.
  • Still talk of at least one multiplex, but the Odean is quiet enough!!! Euan
  • Cinema is appalling. They were never going to be able to compete with Meadowhall complex but come on 'superior seats' they're National Express bus seats aren't they?????
  • On about building a 10 screen job, with poss theatre/bars Etc..... It will more then likey be shite but how knows...
  • The Odeon, a genuine fleapit! My wife used to work there so I should know!
