• No one really stands out in Barnsley as having any talent as a Busker or Street Entertainer. A guy plays the accordian and some Native American's play pan pipes but no one's gonna get a number 1 in the chart!

• The biggest characters are those that get up everyday to do their stimulating job at Ventrua Call Centres, even thow they tell the world it is a great job.
• Some characters in this town think that everybody regardless of qualifications should be on the same employment level. What is the point of the different educational levels then!
• Some characters in this village think life in Barnsley is great and wonderfull, but they never given any valid reasons for this conclusion.
• Some characters in this village feel that everybody unemployed regardless of working industry and qualfications only have a possible future on £9000pa, and to aim for anything higher is pie in the sky dreams.
• Some characters in this village walk around with permanent grins on their faces, these must be stuck with super glue. Because nothing gets these grins of their faces. You will not see them anywhere else in the UK.
• The big characters of this town are the local men, who think having shaven heads, act butch and hard and to be a thug is cool, tell this to the Italian football team, who look like they have just come off the catwalk.
• Sardines, living in a terrace house street is like living in a sardine tin, their is that much space between you and your neighbour.
• Are those people that say be proud of your roots, how the hell can you be when your roots are Barnsley?
• Are the local teachers who said that you need qualifications to get on in this town, well I have become a NHS team leader without qualifications, when most team leader jobs ask for graduates or degree equivalent qualfications, I certainly dont have these, but yet I still got a chance because my face fits, and I shag anybody who will shag me.
• Another set of jokers are those that think getting a forklift truck license is equivalent to getting a PHD law degree like my girlfriend, in truth this town would respect the forklift truck driver more. I have got a qualification now I shall get a great job.
• The best entertainers are Barnsley FC they are that bad in 2002/2003 season you can not help but laugh and smile at how bad they are. We don't need a circus.

• Wellington Street saxophonist. Haven't seen him for a while. Used to play the Pink Panther theme tune (probably the only tune he could play).

• Is the gut who used to play the sax. outside Yorkshire Bank on Fri. and Sat. night still around? He was great!!

• The three amigos play regularly in the High Street. Also watch out for student buskers making no money and fools of themselves.
