- I bought a penny whistle from Early Learning.
- Music Ground in Leeds have a good range of low to mid priced Epiphones, Fenders, Tokai and a whole acoustic section downstairs. Upstairs are the Gibsons, Rickenbacker and other top-end and vintage gear. sound control is a chain monster interested in £££££
- Jax and Utopia if you like your cheapo Squier or Encore guitars.
- Jax music near the Post Office but the man in there is a bit scary.
- Rock Shack on Cardigan Road, Leeds. Nice Drum Kits
- Stringstocks has all the main brands just for guitars. They don't stock any other instrument and are the only true guitar shop in Barnsley. I think they have a shop in Rotherham as well. They teach nearly everybody I know who is having guitar lessons. Just what Barnsley needed!!!!!
- utopia music is easily the best shop for sprouting musicians
- There are more instruments shops now like String Stock on Eldon Street Barnsley they also do guitar lessons and other instrumental lessons its a cool place

- erm... jaxx (dont go, unless you need a guitar strap cos theyre cheap)
and utopia which get ok stuff but nearly always have to order it in which takesat least a week. Better off going into Donni for the decent music shops
