The places where you buy your music
You can tell us more about Barnsley.
Record Shops
- Jumbo Records in Leeds
- Jumbo Records in Leeds
- Pfft. Best used to be EGS (now a horrible greasy spoon) or sometimes CASA disco for that alternative blend.
- Go to Music Zone in the town centre for CD's and DVD's they have as good a range as HMV but are cheaper. MVC is closing down as it was so over priced it couldn't handle the competition, all the stock is being sold off "cheap" but it's still the same price as you'd expect to pay from anywhere else!
- HMV has everything
- get your sen darn to mvc or hmv, cunt nik owt in there ever, get cought everytime garanteed.
- We need casa discos and vinyl tap back in Leeds
- buy cds n shit from hmv
- Casa Disco lost out to the corporate monsters of Our Price and MVC.
- casadisco
- Casa Disco but it shut down
- phuture records was excellent nothing to beat it although the semi open market has a western stall with a selection of dance packs (hardcore, hard dance etc
- Edinburgh
- mvc
- CasaDisco used to be the bling for imported music, but its gone down hill a bit...
- MVC UPSTAIRS IN THE ALAMBRA CENTRE ALSO WH SMITHS IF THEY AINT GOT IT THEY CAN SURE GET IT.
- No fuckin chance, we have one Corporate (MVC) and one independant(Vynal Junkies) music shop, go to sheffield look for Fopp and their are loads of great independans all within a 10 minute walk in the vacinity (Near the Skate park on Division St at the Back of West St)
- What a joke, we only have MVC now so i get most of my music in sheffield, cash converters is ok if you have a wide range of tastes- i got some crackin hip hop and old school jungle there.
- MVC in the Alambra has a wide selection of music and has a large rock section which is cool.
- If you want to find a really good independent music shop that stocks loads of punk, metal alternitive stuff and actually can get you almost anything that is available (provided its not your bog standards chart crap) go to Against The Grain - upstairs in the market near the cafes and stuff. Only go if you are into shopping at none corporate money grabbing multis cos these guys really do their best to sell cds at the best price in the street, considering most of the stuff they have is difficult to find elsewhere this is really refreshing.
- CD's generally end up bought from MVC, but there's a good one up the arcade near the Odeon if you're into vinal too!
- sad to see casa disco go.Globalisation to blame
- V Junkies next to Crickets cafe on the arcade off Regents park.
- Dont go to Barnsley, goto FOPP or Noise Annoys in Sheff
- Casa Disco, the only specific record retailer has now closed (Mar 03)
- best en is our price, casa disco int bad tho!!!!
- woolworths is wank our price is or8 vo!!!
- Casa Disco
- Check out vynal junkies
- Casa-disco is a shop for goths and bag-heads that sells alot of metal CD's and hoodies, but u can also find Britney and Snoop Dog in there too
- our price rocks... casa disco is wank!!!
- only decent music shop is r price
- Casa Disco is Barnsley's finest purveyor of tip top musical offerings. It's on Peel Square.
- MVC: The sell loadsa blues singles and albums. One question: why?
- Future Records is unfortunately no more!Vinyl Junkies is good for hard house, trance and general dance.
- Casa Disco - bloody useless but you loved it.
- Casa Disco - smallest shop with the biggest collection of obscurities ever - great!!!
- They're already listed here in the Alambra Centre. What's ur problem with Woolworths?
- Casa disco. meant to be cheaper than the rest.
- Casa Disco and Andy's as far as I can remember. Think they're still around.
- CasaDisco - Peel Square - He's got allsorts......
- Casa Disco is still there, it rules.
- Casa Disco is OK for CDs, but crap for records. Phuture Records used to be good until the manger who knew what he was doing was sacked and got replaced by some idiots who haven't got a fucking clue. OK for (usually crap) UK house and happy bloody hardcore; if you're into this kind of stuff they might have something you'll like; if you like anything good then go to Sheffield (Warp, Dance Records) or Leeds (Eastern Bloc, Crash, Way Ahead, Jumbo etc.). Andy's Records is overpriced and doesn`t sell records. Our Price is Our Price and Our Price is Over Priced. Basically, go to Sheffield or Leeds.
