• Whats happening at Furness Abbey? That building is in right mess - you'd of thought the powers that be would be quickly trying to sort out the LICHEN problem that seems to have completely covered the old ruins.. Surely this is a cause for concern.. Can someone sort it out please....

• The Town Hall, The Abbey House hotel, the little row of Victorian Cottages and the little school on Salthouse Road and the Shipbuilding Hall...just because it's so feckin huge!

• oooohhh, thats a hard one. well, loads of the buildings are beautiful if u look up past the plastic shop fronts and u can see how wealthy barrow used to be, but id have to say a couple... the town hall, the old technical college, chetwynde school's main building and the library

• Tenements on Barrow Island, fantastic example of Victorian Architecture (v cheap to rent too!), Town Hall is another oddity.

• My house, Furness Abbey, The Queens Arms at Biggar Village, the old college on Duke Street. Also the gates onto Channelside Haven because for once the council decided to keep a part of Barrow's past instead of eliminating all evidence of it. The gates say 'Vickers Engineering'. Not really a building but I also love the old railway track which has been left alone aswell, right opposite the aforementioned gates.

• Got to be the main town-hall. Built of local sandstone. It is very Victorian and actually faces the sea. Barrow was supposed to be the next big English port. So remember, when you see the town hall you're usually seeing the rear. Another mention must go to Furness Abbey, which for tourists is a real big draw.
