  • Well there are some really good High Street Chains such as River Island, Topman and Burtons. Don't try to be different go with the big stores they will soon take over... run. Or if you are interested in a 'different' kind of look for a next to nothing budget you can try shopping at Basildon Market, it's surprisingly popular, especially if you require some 'authentic' chav wear...
  • If you like fake clothes and rip off gear then Basildump is your place!
  • samatha's is great! its so cheap there and they always have the latest fashion there aswell. i always find what im looking for its great! trust me next time your in baz, go there i promise you wont walk out empty handed!

  • river island, tammy, new look, primark,
  • None to speak of. Try Lakeside / Bluewater
  • The best clothes shop is the Mission in the galleries
  • PILOT INLAKESIDE, BAYTRADING, KRISP, TOPSHOP, PRIMARK OR THERE ARE A FEW OXFAMS
  • I think New Look is popualr, quite fashionable and reasonably cheap for woman of pretty much any age,Primark is another, they sell mens stuff too,and childrens,babies...etc..Very cheap..QD Stores is excellent for bargains, and Wilkinsons, thats good for all household goods,clothes,DIY..pretty much everything.
  • Mission- Right up in the galleries, but it has the best selection for designer clothes in the town.
  • See skate shops
  • Not any decent ones alas. There's Wallis/Miss Selfridge for women and there was Buc for men, but I think that's shut down now. Most people go to lakeside or southend for clothes
  • Loads in the Eastgate Centre, Basildon Town Centre and Pitsea Market on a Sunday, Saturday, Friday. Basildon Market is open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - Just Johns is pretty good on Basildon Market.
  • Basildon market is always a good place to pick up cheap new and secomdhand clothes. Also try the Indian shops for cheap cheese cloth clothes -shirts, dresses etc.
