Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...
You can tell us more about Basildon.
Favourite Building
- Brooke house. A brutalist splendour of a building.
- Mcdonalds or colours, either way im getting me some meat
- norwich union - it means i'm almost home!!
- Church On The Hill
- Cant think of harly any although St Martins church has an interesting 60's feel
- woodlands school
- errr?....my house
- Towngate Theatre when it was open. Used to have a good bar and a brilliant restaurant 'til the Tories closed it down. When it's opened on "special occasions" it's very run down. What a shame for such a nice building. Thank you, Tory party!
- The car park by Sava-Centre. It does not look like the usual multi parks.
The round openings are different and it's built with bricks, not the usual concrete.
- All the wonderful properties in Noak Bridge village. What development vision to bring modern, luxury village living at a reasonable price (well it was was when I bought mine), close to major highways and yet a quiet and rural feel about the place. A nature reserve with foxes and jays completes the idyll.
- basildon hospital
- church on the hill in pitsea- its cool i love scary things although its not as scary as i remember it not its got that tacky fone thing stickin up from it now.
- there arnt any :S
- The Onion at the Ford Tractor Plant - when you saw that you always knew you were 15 minutes from an Ice Cream / bag of cockles on the beach at Southend. Thank you Fords.
- I like the deserted OASIS bar up in the clouds above the town. Sinister.
- THE COURTS
- THE PAVIS FOUNDATION BADER HOUSE WITCHARDS BASILDON
- Basildon College! Basildon College! Basildon College! There's nowhere like it in the world!
- the pavillion a great bit art work.
- Shopping centre, Ikon my house!
- the ugly one
- Brooke House for it's 60's charm and is probably listed.
- THE OLD CHURCH ON TOP OF THE HILL. ST NICK'S OF COURSE, ITS OLD ITS SPOOKY AND LAST TIME I WENT THERE A A WEIRD OLD TRAMP CAME OUT OF NOWHERE, AND SAID 'I WOULDN'T STAY HERE ON MY OWN GIRLY, YOU GET SOME STRANGE FOLK UP 'ERE.' THEN VANISHED!
- pets mart
- Brooke house in the town square, reasently gained grade two listing, stads out from the crowd notibly for the unique concrete organic collumns that elevate it 6 storeys above the town square.
- Brook House in the Town Square, a typical 60's building. Also St Martin's Church in the town square which is pretty snazzy too!
- Very little of interest, although brand new County court is quite nice.
