Record Shops
  • down by the new connextions theres a record dude he always gives me the eye go in there a find out a little
  • Does anyone remember our price music shops next to macdonalds?! it was amazing!
  • Yeah that crappy one near toys r us full of 40 year old chavs
  • Adrian's Music shop in Wickford is Wickid... see what i did there? However in Basildon, we have the little known retail specialist known as HMV and the expert Music/Porn specialists that are Golden Disc's...
  • Good one in Billericay, i think its called Slipped discs, steer clear of HMV- overpriced and bad service, I have been waiting for my CD to be delievred to them for over 6 months!
  • just the usual chain stores HMV etc
  • HMV!!!!
  • Sound Zone (was called Dance Bass up until about '96) good for dance music. Godfreys was good in the 80's.
  • Used to be a good local hardcore pirate radio station called Sweet FM 101.4 then 101.8 stopped in about '94.
  • sound zone
  • HMV, Virgin or Music Box...although there is a MVC they still charge more than these shops (even with their discount card)
  • sound zone
  • Sound Zone in Basildon shopping centre is wicked! Sells Garage bita House, and well Priced run by young people 4 the young!
  • Virgin, Music box, MVC
  • Soudzone, if you are not after a load of 'charty' crap !
  • Basildon is shite for record shops.
  • SOUNDZONE IN BASILDON IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO FOR YOUR TUNES!
  • Does anyone remember the like of Godfreys and the other one (I can't remember it's name) but i used to be opposite what is now KFC on Southernhay. My best memories are from the early/middle eighties when music was my life. Both of these were like a second home. There was also Keddies - in the Mall. Probably, the best place at that time in Basildon to get Punk/Indie/Underground stuff.
  • Soundzone - Dance Music specialists, opposite Toy's R Us Wicked for Garage choons
  • Music Box- Next to Dixon's in the town square. This is the best place for music CD' s for price.
  • Only the vigin Megastore and that dance record store opposite toys r us
  • Virgin Megastore and Adrian's in Wickford which have already been mentioned are the best.
  • Adrians in near by Wickford has been quoted no.1 independant retailer for many years, they carry one of the largest selections in new music and rarities.
  • Only Hardcore (rave) in Liberty Shopping Hall.
Liberty shopping centre is now shut down.
  • Mostly the main shops in the Eastgate centre. Try also the Market at the weekend which should prove fruitful for the dedicated record collector.
  • The old Our Price has now changed into a Virgin Megastore which has absolutely everything. Alternatively, there's Adrians in Wickford for rare stuff.
  • Our Price one in Town Square, one in Eastgate.
