Cafes and Coffee Shops
- Have you tried the great selection of hot and cold sandwiches, cakes and coffees at Oliver's Bakehouse in Old Basing village? It's a friendly and family-run bakery with free parking in a very pleasant village setting. I can thoroughly recommend it.
- Sizzle & Bite Cafe does the best fry-up, Jacket potatoes, and burgers I have ever tasted... Kris the owner is a lovely lady based on Roentegen Way, Danes Hill.. try it.
- pregos they do a fantastic st moritz ciabatta
- antichristsuperstar911@hotmail.com
- not many good coffee shops in town, unfortunately!
- not many good coffee shops in town, unfortunately!
- Chad hilliers Amsterdam experiance cafe, try the space cakes
- Does Basingstoke know what these are? no good ones
- er...presto
- There are now a few coffee shops in Festival Place
- Haymarket Theatre cafe is quite nice.
- nice sandwhich place at top of town.
- Ready2go! the best new coffee shop in basingstoke that sells the most amazing cookies ever, all food is made on the premises and you have to try one of the rather nice coffees!
- The Blue Spot in London Street is a great place to have a toasted brie and bacon ciabatta. Morelli's (?), the faux Italian bar opposite Iceland is over-priced, mediocre but yet far too good for Basingstoke. Try Oasis in London Street United Reformed Church during the week if you fancy swapping chit-chat with some of the more 'lived-in' denizens of Basingstoke. The bad news is that the speed of the service is glacial. The good news is the counter staff have problems coping with that new fangled decimal money...
- They have built one near the big Hammicks which is alright, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, etc. Cafe Rogue is very expensive and a chain anyway. Generally lacking a cafe culture, but this is Basingstoke we are talking about.
- There are one or two - hopefully there will be some more in the new development. Fingers crossed a Starbucks. Please God (love their coffee).
- Coffee shops in town are much too expensive. Others must think so too as they don't go there.
- Finally, Goodbye Market Coffee house and Mr. Munch
- Plastic
