- Po's is the best club in bath generally, babylons is chav-city, Qube's good if u like drinking in a space ship...
- Moles
- babylons (behind bus station) on a thursday for some good rock and metal tunes!"!
- Moles
- Discord at Babylon on Thursdays, get ur rock on with the scene kids of bath, cheap booze, good tunes, and 3 or 4 ladies on average!x
- Porter celler bar is funky right next to moles club (18+) which has an amazing live lineup, check out its histroy, they have awesome people palying there. um, porter butt.
- T's Cool heavy Metal on monday nights cheap as...
Pu's if you want a young slag
Cads if you want an old slag
Delf if you want rappy type stuff
Moles for less comerical stuff (most genres depending on night)
Babylons, has the drive by D&B, kinda rough
- Fez
- MOLES! Saturday nights are club night with live music and great DJs (including a residency from Stabilizer) after, except for the first Sat of the month when its Metropolis with big name DJs and a residence from Lottie. Friday nights are big name DJs and local talent spinning the stuff. Tuesday is the Big Cheese which the students love and the place is always rammed with pretty young ladeez! Every other Weds is the StoneGruve Social that brings the best modern hip-hop, reggae and funk to the city (they recently had Rodney P down).
- Blue Rooms, stylish fun.
- moles is good as has an upstairs with seating where u can chill, good cheese night. delfta has a better atmosphere than the other clubs (except when its packed) because its the only one thats not underground. babylons alright as is pos when u want to get drunk and dance, ts is cheap and has two dance floors, especially on thursday and friday when its student night (anyone can go) and a friend of mine has a night there every now and again. the owners very sleezy though.the blue rooms is better for a classy night, although very expensive or revolution vodka bar which has nice pitchers and flavoured shots.
go to weatherspoons for a cheap night out as drinks areonly £1 for singles and £2 for doubles.
- cadilacs good for pulling o'neils dumpy 80's place the fez small and sweaty, babylon good cheap beer, the playground ok , if u wanna pull and have a good time go to cads full of easy fems and guarenteed a laugh
- Po Na Na... i studied in Bath this summer and we had a blast! I just wish i had gotten a t-shirt before I left!
- cadalacs is for sluts looking for a cheep date go 2 babalon down by thebus station next 2 the fish and chip shop for good music and alcohol.
- discord on thursdays at babylon is my regular outing...cheep drinks metal..
wall to wall snogging!!
- Moles - but of course!
- moles i guess...but just coz theres nowhere else to go late at night.actually most of the time it's shit!!
- babylons has a great sound system, moles sound is rubbish, cadilacs for a fight and std's, po na na has an odd layout and tends to have a slightly better dressed crowd (not always a good thing) Defler krug is central etc etc. nothing special in bath.
- fusion, babylon except for thursday when it plays rock. down by bus station.
- Just a quick word to anyone who comes staggering out of Cadillacs at 2 am.....I live just round the corner from there...PLEASE PLEASE stop using to my doorstep to pee on. Or vomit on. And could you wait until you get home to shag your girlfriend/boyfriend and not do it under my window as it disturbs my kids. And if your going to sing 17 choruses of "Stand by your Man" could you do it a bit more quietly? And take that shopping trolley with you? Oh, and not nick all my geraniums and leave take away wrappers in their place? Ta ever so...
- moles is ok if you like sticking to the walls, and your trainers coming out of there looking like you've worked down a mine. musically, the pub 'the bell' beats the shit out of it though.
- if you really, really want to pull and you dont care who it is - caddillacs is the place for you: full of tarts it is i say! musics rather cheesy and poppy with some techno, but it has to be said it is the biggest club in bath with the biggest dancefloor. poos has got a new bouncer who is truly harsh to some people..ive seen it, not nice. delfters on a wednesday is cheese night, cheapie drinks, nice for a friendly gathering. the fez, ahh we love it, full of poshies and rich people, all rather "young at heart" shall we say...ahh its all good!
- the clubs in bath are shit go to bristol.no i lie some are reasonable.
po na nas for trendy kes/rich rugby types.and girls who think they are slightly alternative cos they shop in westworld and listen to drum n bass.
babylon is an all round rubbish place the toilets are skanky as hell and it alwasy floods.though discord on thursday is hilarious if you wanna see lots of people 'moshing' to system of a down.the bouncers suck too.
cadillacs i never even been there and know its a hellhole.you just have to look at the kindof people in the queue on a saturday night.
the fez club.i went there when it was the hush.it seemed okay dont know what its like now.
T's.never been there but its kindof underneath pulteney bridge.near the boater which proves its clientele is probably more crappy sixth former types.
moles is good for putting on live music if you like 'all girl pop-punk' or your average 'trendy art school guitar band'.shame they play such shit house music when the bands finish.
- caddies a meat market!!! bearable(sorta) during the week when the students are about, but at the week ends it is full of the 'twerton posse', by that i mean farmer accents and fat girls, with perms and short skirts who stink of used condoms and still have last nights sperm on their clothes! and the white boys who think they are black!
babylon...not great but probably the beat place 2 go in bath! go on wednesdays 4 students or fridays is o.k. 2! saturday night is much like cadalacs with the twerton posse! but music quite good
weston pub, shite, but near 2 me! :)
- bath is WICKED for clubs. i especially love Moles, on a tuesday. its Cheese night. theres no townies in bath. delfter krug is ok, bit small. po na na is good although very hot. and theres wicked selection of pubs. try the Assempbly inn, £5 for a bottle of wine. or the Porter, great live music and REAL FIT CLIENTELE!!!!!!
- Catch EPOCH or any other night by 1 Man Army Records. They had Moles packed out. Finally some non-cheesy phat beats!
- Po's (or as we affectionately call it, The Mouldy Palace) has damp walls, expensive drinks, public schoolboys and the nastiest bouncer ever on a Saturday night. Tears, bribes, breasts - all are futile.
- Hmm well I've lived in Bath for about 20 odd years, and have to say that the most of the people who have posted to the site don't seem to have done their homework (or should that be evening work) very well. Either that, or Moles Club must be a very well kept secret! If you are into live music other than the "pub rock" variety then Moles Club has to be the only port of call. They've had over the years loadsa bands that are now household names - I'll mention a few:- Oasis, The Smiths, Radiohead, The Cure, Pulp, Tears for Fears, Gabrielle, King Crimson, Eurythmics, and more recently JJ72, Cooper Temple Clause - err 'scuse me, but shouldn't that get a mention. Perhaps those people that slagged off Bath as having not much to offer should get out more! Oh I forgot to mention this club (Moles) of which I'm a member, also did the first cheese night, has a latin night that regularly brings bands over from Cuba, and South America, and also has a really kicking club night on Fridays that puts on Dance, and hip hop bands....... I'll rant some more - how people can praise places like Po Na Na & the Fez, which is just peddling the usual corporate rubbish of the big chains, really does beggar belief - but then I guess it's always like that.
- Delfer Krug (opp. Theatre Royal) is great and has different music every night, from 90s dance to modern R&B
- 23-5-2. Swamp shut 2 years ago. "Hush" is now a shit club called "The Fez", not
to be confused with Cadillacs "Fez" Comedy night. Goth/Industrial night at the Porter Butt on London Road 1st Saturday of the month. Alternative Night called "Entropy" at Windows Arts once a month - normally 2nd or 3rd Saturday.
Babylon has a reasonable metal/alternative night on Thursday called "Discord". Finally Uni has an alternative night every Monday. Aleterantes betweem Indie, Metal and a mix.
- Po Na na - posers
Moles - Good cheese night on Tuesdays, has been overtaken by townies though.
- Moles or Po-na-na are the only places if you're the wrong side of very young.
- All the ones i know of tend to be full of either Trevs and Shazzers or spoilt little rich kids. not much of a choice really.
- PO NA NA, BABYLON, MOLES,
- Very poor. For a town of 100,000 it's ridiculous and expensive. If you are a prospective student please dont come to bath it's boring expensive and full of toffs. Sorry...
- Babylon on a wednesday night 70's double vodka and redbull £2 its a very good piss up if you're a student!
- If you are over 25, then steer clear of Babylons, Head for T's (Pop and 80s/90s) Moles (Dance Fri, Live music Sat) or Po Na Nas (Dance/Techno) unless you want to pick up a 19yr old tart in which case head for Cadillacs.
- Try Po Na Na's on wednesday nights for some pumping drum n' bass
- The clubs in Bath need to get their act together. Went to the Firkin last night and the bass amps didn't kick in until half way through the night, sounded shit. Cadillacs don't appear to have any working bass amps and they need to sort out their lights and please can there be smoke!! The best sound and possibly most talented DJ in Bath can be found @ The Venue on Saturday nights, if only it was in the middle of Bath.
- T's is a pretty good club although it gets heaving and sweat drips off the cieling. I enjoy that bit though! Po Na Na's is a good laugh although they rip you off with the price of Vodka&RedBull. Hush needs to inject some life into it. In fact, Bath needs to open a cheezee Bristol big club to attract all the Trev's and Sharon's (who all smoke L&B) and move them away from the already existing clubs.
- A simple rule in Bath is that all clubs suck
- Po na na is full of under age private school children who think they're it! The Hush is the best place for mooching and chilling.
- errr..has anyone noticed whenever something bad happens or someone goes missing...they've been at, going to or at cadillacs?
- Babylon - behind the bust station
- A lot of these comments are quite out of date now.
If you want to say out late (past 11pm) you have two choices
1) Late night bars
Savilles (no idea what this is like)
The Hush (Top chilled out place, best of the lot by far)
Huntsman (Just an unremarkable pub with late licence + very expensive)
Firkin (This is just a pub with dance floor and nothing special at all)
2) Clubs
Moles (very good, has live bands, may need NUS / membership to get it)
Po Na Na (maybe the best club in town, good music, drinks promotions, beutiful people)
Cadillacs (Cheesy/meatmarket - take it for what it is, but its a pretty good one)
The loft (Complete dive - don't waste your time with it, mid 20's singles kareoke crap))
T's (Not too bad, long queues, not as many beautiful people)
Fusion has recently closed down.
- Hub Club: bands and DJs
The Hub. Variable quality of DJs. Bar too small but near pub prices. Not bad. The Hub sucks; blame the management!
- You didn't go overboard on the info. There are loads of clubs that went unmentioned, notably Swamp (student night on Fridays) and Cadillacs (student night on Mondays).
- Your clubs guide mentions the worst clubs in town! The best clubs in Bath are Joe Bananas and Swamp
Joe Bananas. Grotty pick-up joint. Joe Bananas replaced by Firkin pub, 11.96
- Swamp. Fridays. Students love this place. Underground and dingy. Good atmosphere.
The Swamp Club closed but was due to re-open in February/March 1997. The Swamp club has now changed to Po-Na-Na's. It has been completely overhauled and looks very fancy - fake leopard skin seats the works!! Still cheap to get in - but queues are a nightmare! Hot Tip - get there early or be a Bath Rugby Player and you'll get in!!! Trendy drink there is Vodka & Red bull (even though it takes like shite!)
- Underground, Westgate Street. I've not been yet but is cheap (£3). House and jungle.
- Cheesey:
- Cadillacs
- Roxburys
Roxbury's is now called Club Blu.
- Studenty:
- Swamp
- The Venue (at the Uni)
- Po-na-na still the best club by far less twats than the rest
- Live / Trendy:
- None of the Above:
- Grottiest Club: Moles
- Most Tarts: Cadillacs
- Most Notorious: Bog Island (R.I.P.)
- Moles and the Hub are also very studenty, but are just full of the type of students like 'ravey davey gravey'. That is, w**kers.
- The busiest weekday Student nights are:
- Mondays- BOOM-A-RANG (Cadillacs)
- Tuesdays - THE BIG CHEESE (Moles)
- Wednesdays - SAD DISCO (The Venue)
- Thursdays - T's Club
- Unfortunately Bath is rather lacking in decent late night venues. For the best of the rest try Cadillacs - it may be rather sad but atleast all the tarts and meatheads are good for taking the piss out of.
- Worst bouncers by far: T's Club
- Karanga Monthlys. Definitely the best night of the month!
- Thank heavens that wankhole Banana Joe's has gone - replaced by a formula "FUN" pub!
- The hub is now club Hush chilled out kinda place rather than the dancey Hub (I miss it !) Club-blu, Roxbury's - whatever is now Babylon and a lot better than it was it is too !
- you should point out that Cadillacs has The Fez Stand Up Comedy Club every Tuesdasy from 8pm, show starts at 9pm and finishes about 11.15pm. With top acts from the London, National and International circuit. Recent names include Jeremy Hardy, Rob Newman and John Shuttleworth.
- Roxbury`s now called `Babylon` ~ music OK, drinks expensive, blokes hang around edge of dance floor and watch... ~ the little rooms are cool tho`!
- Cadillacs is a meat-market.
