Richardsons by Wendy Wilson (Member 10290687) on 31-Dec-2013
My Grandmother Minnie Adelaide Richardson attended Raywood Street school in 1896, along with her siblings. The family lived in Glastone Street nearby. Does anyone remember the Richardson family or of their decendants, I would love to hear from you as I know nothing of this side of my family.
Happy New year 2014
Wendy.

On the death certificate it says he was of no fixed abode and occupation unknown, so possibly a local tramp. His name was Archibald Victor Taylor, but known as Bob. He was aged 48. The informant was a G.W. Weeks living at 207 Lavender Hill, Battersea, S.W.11. He was foun... more >>

Auborn & Heaviside by Jan stemp (Member 10080530) on 6-Jan-2012
Having looked on the 1911 census I've found that 3 of my GGrandfathers children worked for this company as sugar boilers. Does anyone know anything about this company please?

Many thanks

Auborn and Heaviside were sweet manufacturers in John Street next to Eltringham St School. My Father -who lived in 36 Usk Rd-worked there as a rep in the 1920s and 30s. The firm closed shortly after the war.
