- my father was born at 1 bayton thats the first house on the left as you enter bayton the pub would be a bit futher up on your left.
I was born at the first council house the one on the extreme left as you face them.
I was born in 1951 and lived there untill I was about 8yrs old when we moved to pinkett st. worcester
on your site you mention shops cinemas etc the only shop that I can rember was a small post office the old dear that ran the place had one jar of american cream soda calie ( forgive the spelling ) we had a farthings worth
there was nothing for us to do apart from roam shakeness forest.
there was one bus in the morning to take you to town and one bus to bring you back in the evening.
my mother had to stock up for winter incase we got snowed in.
which happened more than once.
I enjoyed my stay in bayton all those years ago, happy years.
