The Best Things
- A well nice Indian restaurant in the old town..."Spice Merchant". A little on the steep side but TASTY!
- The Red Lion
- The Red Lion... Bekonskot... Kun Sing Chinese takeaway... Starbucks...
- Good rail connections to London.
- Yearly chartered fair - 10th May or the 11th if 10th falls on a Sunday. It is massive and well worth a visit.
Bekonscot Model Village - brilliant - and the kids love it.
- The ambiance of Beaconsfield - and it's easy access to M40, M25, M1 and Heathrow.
The friendly market on Tuesdays in the old town.
The old railway station.
The excellent houses on the Seeley's Farm Development.
The close proximity to woods & fields.
- phat fish
- It is a really nice town to live in and there are not too many yobs really. Also, the fact that London is less than 30mins by car or train.
- beating up kids who are at least 6 years younger than me
- good transport links, train service very good.
- Yes the landlord did work in waitrose always wore shorts. Shame they ever pulled the Earl down. Last night was a laugh though.
- The schools. Alot of people move here, often from London for good state schools.
- The History .. over 1000 years (sometimes it shows!!??)
Bekonscot Model Village ( the first and best in the world !)
- Its on the M40. Easy to escape.
Posh. Therefore no aggro for walking down the street in the wrong manner.
Peacefulish. Close to Wycombe but without the risk of living there
- Skate spots
- Beaconscott - I'd like to know more please
- The countryside
- Good access to London: 30 - 40 minutes to Marylebone by train, On J2/3 of the M40
- Beaconscott model village, if you are into that sort of thing
- A lot of pubs in Beaconsfield old town
- A couple of good Indian restaurants
- Has a good funfair every May
- The New Town has only one pub - Fifth Avenue, a sort of American theme pub. Excusable as it's run by an American. Food is quite good however and portions generous. This place also doubles as nightclub. The Old Town's only other pub is now a Waitrose (where rumour has it the old landlord actually works).
- The theatre groups - BCG, YT, Chiltern Shakespeare Company, Tight Fit Theatre.
- The prep school is DAVENIES, not HERRIES - which is in Cookham Dean.
