Dancers from across the Globe will descend on Cheshire to compete at the 'UK Star Studded Championships held at Northwich Memorial Hall on the 1st,2nd & 3rd of August.
This is the first time this venue will be used to hold this event, the Saturday evening includes a Modern Jive & West Coast Swing Freestyle.
The competition for the first time will have a Modern Jive category, 'UK Modern Jive ProAm' Competition, and a 'Dance with a stranger' Competition. Both held on the evening of Saturday 2nd August 2008. To take part in the ProAm competition it will be necessary to be at the venue at 1830 on the Saturday evening.

Went there, drank a pint, went to the toilets to drain the main vein, only to find some uncouth queer had scrawled 'I FUK ARSES' on the wall! I didn't hang around to find out if the illiterate fudge-packer was true to his word, so I quickly corrected his spelling mistake and made a hasty exit.

The Red Lion still is a traditional country pub -that's perfect for a drink and a chat. As you will know, there are three large bar areas at The Red Lion; only one of them has the big screens - and even then, they're only on when there's football. So, if it's a friendly (not noisy) atmosphere you're looking for, then The Red Lion's the place to be...a proper 'local' - especially now that so many of the traditional pubs in the area have now been turned into restaurants.
