The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

Pubs
- The three stags public bar was a great place for us fresh faced drinkers because it had lots of cubbby holes to hide away from the barmans stare. Sending the oldest looking amongst us,with a hand full of change, for 4 half milds was a bit of a give away. Happy days, great friends and tolerent publicans, bless 'em. No harm done. John formston Auckland
- The Brown Cow is under new management. Live bands appearing from November 2011, pool table, sports TV for the big games. Ignore previous comments please!
- Please, please amend information about the Rose and Crown. 'Miserable landlord' well gone!!! See our web-site - www.The-Rose-And-Crown.com - or call in. Just been credited with the coveted Cask Marque for our real ale so you know you'll get a really good pint.
- Traveller's Rest.Village Road.Ales and home made food.
- Three Stags remains busy, particularly Friday/Saturday, but can be a Stag night sometimes with all the fellas looking for the talent! New venue at Spital Precinct..Mississippi Bar, Good food, continental style bar and huge plasma screen!
- Three Stags, Busiest Pub on The Wirral, spesh Friday Night! Good Real Age,Strict Age checking.
- That one called the 'brown cow' then its the 'cow' another week and then its the 'brown cow' again!...WHATS WITH THE NAME CHANGING?????
- That pub that changes it's name every week! 'the brown cow'...'the cow'...the brown cow'...'the cow'...
- Rose and Crown, great ale, lively atmosphere, miserable landlord.
- The best for Real Ale is the Rose & Crown, which has won several Camra awards. The younger set go to the Three Stags (a natural progression from the wall hang-out outside when they get to 18), which isnt bad. Other places include the Welly (Wellington) which is a bit cliquey, The George (formerly Tut 'n' Shive) which is good for a game of Pool, and COW (formerly the Brown Cow) which is good for a fight.
