Bebington Old Boy looking for "old" mates by Rod Taylor (Member 10253773) on 1-Nov-2010
Hi
My name is Rod Taylor. Used to live in Rocklands Ave, by the Oval and then Bickerton Ave, off Kings Lane.
Went to Grove St, Calday Grammar and worked at Girlings, Laird Shiprepair, and a few others!
Was at Quaintways for many years, booking the bands.
Used to look after a band in Bebington, called Kaspers Engine.
Nickname at school was "Codge".

Hi. Kaspers engine used a fire engine I think? Norman Yardley was the lead singer (my brother in law) He has his own pad in Higher Bebington, drinks at the Travellers Rest very late every night. Still does a bit of impromptu stuff I think.

    Hi John

Yes I did live by Philip. I am still living in Bebington up near The George. Jean was thrilled to hear from you. It's funny, because she was only talking about you a few weeks ago. Apparently her cousin had been talking to Gary Spencer and I think he had mentioned your name. Didn't Malcolm Threadgill, and the Myers family emigrate to NZ. We knew that you had re-married but weren't... more >>

Can anyone remember the name of the female Physics teacher who taught at Beb Sec in the 80's?
I would very much like to remember her name and if possible, find a way of contacting her....
Any help would be gratefully recieved.

I've now discovered/remembered that her name was Miss Allen.
She taught in the first classroom on the right hand side as you go in to the science block.
If anyone knows how I may contact her, I would be very grateful....

I have just read your posting. Your relative Amy Williams was my great aunt. My grandmother (Amy's sister) lived at 6 Mill Terrace where I was born. My cousins Ann and Tony were born and brought up in No.4. As far as I am aware Amy moved to Wigan following her marriage and i am sure you will still have surviving relatives there. On speaking to my cousins, the only market garden we remember was... more >>

Anyone Heard of This? by phonefun (Member 10234964) on 30-Jan-2009
Funny as anything. All sorts of randoms on it

It's basically a landline telephone number you can ring. 0870 755 0872.

Where you get put into a waiting facility, it then connects you to another caller, you say hello, and they can choose whether to talk to you, or put you back in the queue because they don't like the sound of you or whatever ... more >>
