Pubs in Beccles, Suffolk*

The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

You can tell us more about Beccles.

Pubs
  • Ingate, love kareoke with Sid and Anne
  • White Horse - pool table and football teams King's Head - newly renovated though not popular anymore Ingate - good for the footy Swan House - overpriced snobbery Butcher's Arms - near to school so good for celebrating exam results with over fresh faced people
  • Try the White horse for a sports friendly bar...its recently changed hands and sean, the landlord is lovely,
  • the ingate on ingate street. good pub. good beer. good lord!
  • shite, although the Triangle in Lowestoft is pretty good.
  • The crowd from the Spot-light Theatre take over the Bear and Bells some nights, if you wish to drink with the upper crust!
  • got to be the kings head but have you ever seen the restaurant at the back? It has pretentions of being posh but it's always full of common as muck peeps
  • I have reason to blieve that The Royal Oak is under new management and wish the new occupants all the best and good luck with their new venture. Any thing they do with that place will be an improvement and Im sure it will!! Lets hope for the "FRESH FACED" crowd.
  • Bear and Bells, a good local pub "for local people".
  • All of 'em charge Norwich prices. Disgraceful given our rural location.
  • We've got plenty of these. Personally I'd recommend a quiet drink in The Butchers Arms, and piss up in the White Horse, and an all night pool and beer session in Oakies (The Royal Oak).
  • you know it
  • Run down of pubs in Beccles....... King's Head - Alright, I suppose, although it can get WELL crowded, & the music gets right on my tits. White Horse - Pokey little place that serves flat Coke from 2 litre bottles saved from being completely shit by a half-decent pool table. Butchers Arms - In my opinion, the best in Beccles. 2 pool tables, cheap pints & a wicked jukebox. Nice people who work there an' all. The (Royal) Oak or Oakies - This place is so shit I don't know why I'm even mentioning it. Can't see anything in there for grime. The Loaves & Fishes - LOCAL pub for LOCAL people. Oh, and boating holiday people. It's got a new pool table apparently, but the pub is so scarily LOCAL I daren't go in.
  • It has been a long time who owns what and where ? and is the the beer still good ?
