- Traffic Jams. How can you get a traffic jam with only a handfull of vehicles? Come to Beccles to find out! The Council in their wisdom decided on a one way circuit for traffic in the town to ease the flow. But that was long ago before the by-pass was built and it still remains in force today. Not only that its a system where the flow of traffic is turned upon itself and just to secure a tidy jam there are traffic lights thrown in. At the traffic lights it is possible to make two lanes, one for straight ahead and one would be the turning lane. Not here as Beccles drivers hog the centre of the road just to ensure a good back up situation. What the council needs is the wisdom of old pharty Truckers as obviously there is a surplus of them hereabouts.
