- You can't skate in Lurke Street at moment its all being done up and even if you do manage to sneak in the police come along, take your name and chuck you out!
- There's a skate park in Kempston, but top floor Lurkey is recommended, as is outside the harpur shopping centre.

- Clair Court for skater dudes, also check out Planet Clothing they will probably point you in the right direction.
- Lurke street car park is and definitely always was the coolest social crew in the country, if you want to mash out and have some fun skating around around with the crew, its all you need, as an ex posse member, i remember it well, the best time of my life,i miss them dearly!! we love you guys! Johnstone, matt, matt, the rest of you you're cool!
- Skateboard spots, this town is full of concrete so you could just about skate everywhere, but the low walls outside the Harpur Centre in the middle of town are particularly enticing.
Lurke street car park is the best asphalt that we have found in Bedford for falling over on, just out the back of the multi-storey. Also, on the top level of the car-park is a god-like surface, especially nice in the summer months as you can get a good tan up there. Saturday nights the Lurke Street skaters can be heard whizz-planking on levels 1 and 2. Also relatively easy to get to St Albans for indoor sessions and comps at the Pioneer. - Bedford now has a skate park! Actually, it's not very good. It has several round rails of various types, two quarter-pipes with a ridiculously big fun box in the middle, and some small kicker ramps. It's in Jubilee Park, near Tesco's. You should also check out the Oasis beach pool, which has loads of banks and drops when the pools outside are dry and empty. This is also right next to Tesco's. Skating in the Town Centre is now illegal, thanks to people like me fucking up the newly revamped Harpur Centre with grinds and board slides.
