The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Beeston.
Pubs
- The Greyhound High Road Beeston Rock Crowd Live Music crowd
The Durham OX High Road Beeston Also has a Thai Restaurant at the back
The Prince of Wales High Road Beeston
- The Hop Pole has sadly closed. The regulars can now be found leading a Nomadic existance at the other pubs in town....until our spiritual home opens again!!!!
- Get your self down to the Hop Pole on a Tuesday night....cos it's accoustic night...various styles including Folk, Rock, Pop, Blues, Rockabilly & Bluegrass!!!!
- The Hop Pole on Chilwell Road, is a superb pub, loads of real ales, free pool on Wednesday evening, a free bowl of curry with your pint on Thursday evening (very tasty), a very loud jukebox, a decent size beer garden for the summer & never any aggro cos the landlord Gary won't allow it!!
- bad comment about the wine bar?! recently refurbished to a high standard which beeston lacks? yes ok "alternative types" may look a bit out of place in this modern, trendy establishment but come in anyway with your leather jacket, jeans (stone-washed) and the latest train-spotting magazine.
- Loads and loads of pubs. I've always been a connosoir (if that's how you spell it?) of ales and fine wine, but my already hefty frame has bloated since constantly shecking out pubs such as, The Malt Shove(exotic), The Commercial Inn(commercial), The Cricketers(owzat?), The Durham Ox (apporlingly and failingly pretentious)and the likes. There are sooo many, I think I counted around 20 last time I stopped to think about it. Great for pub crawls. Those who don't fancy the vibrant local banter, check out the Wetherspoons (The Last Post), The Victoria Hotel (near station) and possibly The Cow. Personally I prefer the others, much more local! Big up to Bob in the Barrel wine bar...where's the soup these days eh?
- commercial inn. locals only, dog! enjoy the same local as alan rushbrookes mates. in beeston, the fun never stops...
- There's a pub every which way you turn.
- The Star - unspoiled old boys pub. The Victoria near Beeston station - known to every real ale nut in the country.
- The Crown is rather unique and friendly, with a nice area outside for the afternoon sun. For a crawl, start at the Cow, up the hill to the Greyhound, next Durham Ox, the Crown, out along Chilwell Road to the Hop Pole, and finish at the Chequers. Unbeatable on a summers afternoon!
- More per square inch than anywhere else in the universe, from old man's pubs to the kind where just walking in smiling is like signing your own death warrant.
