Cheap Food
- youth cafe bewdley
- Running Horse (Long Bank)- i have been here twice since it has been done up. Once at lunch time - once in the evening. You get the impression that the food should be good as the place always looks busy. Service is very slow. It takes on average 15 minutes to buy a drink or order food. No menus - you have to look over other diners to see the menu boards dotted around the place. Not particularly nice for people eating at tables near them - also you have to leave one of your party at your table so that no one else takes it! Lunch time menu - pretty averaqe - have had better. Main courses - very bland! Would NOT recommend
- night time go to golden country..brilliant currys.
or sit in go to rajah..indian restaurant.
- dinglespout opens at night with good food (candlelight so no dossers)
golden country is best chinese take away (lovely joubly)
rajah indian is brill for sit down or take away ask for anwah the main man.
day time go to riverside cafe the girls are really helpfull and can sort you out with some grub.
the george hotel is probably the best for food at night, in their restaurant, ask for jose a spanish waiter who is first class, really good at his job.
- Lille de France Restaurant, excellent French food.
- Merchants House Restaurant, English Fare.
- Catchems End Fish Bar, definitely the best for miles around.
- Welch Gate Fish Bar also good.
- Merchants House - nice chips but the portions are small
- Pack Horse Pub excellent, value for money food, nothing fancy.
- Rajah Indian- not bad.
- Royal Sangam - Balti house and pizzeria, excellent food, value for money, try Chicken Tikka Masala, or Balti Chicken with spinach, with Poppadums or Pepperoni and onion pizza.
- Wing Wah - Cantonese and Pekingese Take-Away (basically a Chinese) - absolutely superb.
- Golden Country, good but not as good as Wing Wah.
- The Mulberry Bush - very good and very expensive. 10. The Gearge - take your family there for sunday lunch, traditional meals, average restaurant prices.
- Beaulieu tea rooms, just opened so I can't give a verdict, good location - facing the river.
- Mallards Cafe - I don't go in there, slightly dodgy.
- Riverside Cafe - Good bacon butties in the mornings.
- Catchems End fish and chip shop is definitely the best.
- Ille de France is no longer, it is now the Agra, a Balti house.
