You can tell us more about Bewdley.

Pubs
  • The Duke William, Callow Hill is under new management. Julia and Dave welcome all to visit us.
  • Running Horse in Long Bank - Service was unbearably slow both times I've been, and what you get, after waiting 45/more minutes for lunch looks like it was cooked by an amateur. I think it used to be a rather good place to eat, but as of 2006 it's best days are long gone.
  • the angel pub
  • Talbot is a nice traditional pub but its always so so packed. upstairs in the baliffs is lovely, comfy seats and georgeous bar staff :)
  • 2004 - Woodcolliers is a brilliant pub. The landlords are really nice and will welcome anyone with open arms. Its a great mix of the old and the young so the best of both worlds and everyone joins in together. YOu occasionaly get the few undseirables in but first sign of troublw and there out 2004 - The Baylifs this is also a great pub now it has been taken over by the same people as the woodcolliers attracts the civilised 20+yr olds. Reall friendly atmospher.
  • for a small town..really too many pubs. probably the busiest is the Talbot, angel, Swan, HR's.
  • The Great Western is now shit.....used be good for food and was rammed on Saturday nights for great live bands (full bands not one bloke and a dodgy tape recorder)No atmosphere, crap beer, ugly staff and the gaffer is a fat twat.
  • Pipin's is no more and it was closed down when it was known as pipkins. It is now a family resturant
  • I would like to point out that the pub named as pippins by someone was called pipkins and that was closed down for fighting. It became Chaplins but that was closed down because the goalie from kiddy harriers had a dodgy licence or something. It is now just about to open up as a kebab house so its not all bad
  • Margaret, Landlady of The Mug House is the best, great place to stay, plenty going on, loads of lovely fisherman, especially from Grimsby. Keith from Mug House, ex Walsall Wanderers player is brill. Ask to meet the Mugs casanova, Rod.
  • cock and magpie if your a man or a girl wanting the men to look at you. mughouse for a good time have a dance, live music on weekends.(tip, buy drinks that are in a bottle.) horn and trumpet if you are depressed and want to see miserable faces behind the bar also the landlady would sooner kick you out than serve you. H.R's which is always full but a bit clicky talbot is the place to be, great staff, great owner(mark)great pub. jame's is good for cocktails
  • See the Running Horse pub for yourself. Follow this link.
  • The Running Horse may well be a Millers Kitchen but it is STILL a good place for a GREAT pint
  • BEWDLEY INSTITUTE,LOAD ST, TEL 403192 BANKS`S AND WORTINGTON BEERS NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME , COME AND JOIN IN THE FUN.
  • TRY "THE GEORGE" on Load St.,for accomodation and food and drink.well recomended.
  • Pipkins (formerly Maxwell's) has now closed down due to fighting in there!!!!
  • Pack Horse, recently taken over, now known as "Little Pack Horse". Small, good range of beers, excellent food, Landlord and Landlady very friendly. Small pub, with dark corners, a bit Olde Worlde, but with character, not tacky at all.
  • Red Lion, small, local pub, near to station - locals mainly.
  • Black boy - small "grab-a-grandad" local pub, nice beer garden in suummer evenings, landlady very welcoming.
  • The Swan - don't go in there local 40+ age group only
  • Horn and trumpet (Horny Trumpet) Good pool table, fairly friendly.
  • Wood Colliers Arms - Excellent, especially in summer, young landlord. But it has now [4.96] changed hands, has an awful interior, and has lost nuch of the its original clientele. The summer will tell the future for the pub, depending on whether the locals allow people to sit on the grass outside.
The Woodcolliers Arms has not changed hands: it is still owned by the 'young landlord'. He is not there because he is moving house! The people running the pub are managers.
  • Hop Pole Inn - Good food, middle agers mainly though
  • Running Horse - used to be a good place to go for a pint sadly now a "Millers Kitchen"
  • The Talbot - definitely the place to be on a Friday night. It is very popular with the local school kids and students. It now has live music on Thursday nights and the bands that they get in are usually very good. If Jackpot are playing it is a top night.
  • HR's is possibly better than the Talbot, it is very popular with the locals, quite small and cramped and does get very hot, but the Landlady is very nice and the atmosphere is almost unbeatable.
  • Pipin's (formery known as Maxwells) is a favourite spot for the younger drinker, and for those lacking in the brains department. Very good if you are looking for a fight
  • James' Not bad but a bit yuppyish.
  • The Angel - for rough and tough locals only
  • The Cock and magpie - I don't know anything about this one at all.
  • The Mug House - nice riverside location, often have live bands, I'm not saying that the're any good though.
  • Great Western. Pretty Average, good pool table upstairs, not bad for a quiet pint.
  • Rising Sun - Small local grab-a-grandad type pub.
  • Waggon and Horses - See Rising Sun above.
