The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Biggleswade.
Pubs
- COCAINE ON TAP!
- The Rose - not under a chain like all the other pubs, free house.
- new inn. red lion. shite fart, and white horse (bollywood) people in there think there hollywood, but they pack fudge
- Fed up with all the comments about fighting in the New Inn, obviously these people haven't been in for a year or probably more. Great place to eat, drink, play pool, table football, karaoke and disco. More than 100 people barred in last 18 months, the bad & the ugly are gone, only the good left!!!!
- White Hart, White Horse, New Inn, Brown Bear, Whistle & Flute, Red Lion, Golden Pheasant, Hop Bine, Rising Sun
- dont go in a pub if your not from biggleswade and male. you may get hurt. females welcome.
- Golden Pheasant for the over 30's White Hart for Beginners.
- If you want a mouldy burger or a leather steak then go to the yorkshire Grey (Hungry Horse) if not then take a trip into Henlow.
- The Brown Bear used to be good, served some decent real ales but it has gone downhill.
Rising Sun is pretty good though the landlord is miserable shit.
Yorkshire Grey has a good garden but the pub itself sucks..
Whistle & Flute / Coach & Horses are good if you like a nice punch up with your beer
- The Brown Bear used to be truly the best real ale pub in the country, but since it sold out to a pub chain it has become the worst. The new landlord is miserable and unfriendly, they turn the heating off to save money, there's no food or beer festivals, and the place gets emptier by the week.
I recommend The Wheatsheaf now - superb beer and a friendly athmosphere.
- Loadz of them! very easy to get served there!
- The crown hotel is not worth it, not lively, and expensive alcohol, keep away! the white hart, for the older ones, and the hop bine, the whistle and flute, for underage drinkers. The new inn is quite a popular one too, but i cant say iv been in there.

- A fine selection of public houses, depending on your style. The Yorkshire Grey has always been one of the better people magnets, and there's usually someone you know and wish you didn't in there. The food is reasonable, but I'd personally leave it a few pints before you tried any.
- The Yorkshire Gray cand be a bit scary on a Friday night when the karaoke is on, and the police will oftrn frequent the premises.
Alas Jason has left The White Hart.
- The Yorkshire Grey has gone down hill since becoming a Hungry Horse, it is though full of traditional Biggleswade folk, both Paul Roach and "Shouting Man" have been known to drink here.
The Crown was excellent when i was about 17, it is no good now though.
- Coach and Horese, Shortmead Street. Good venue for a drink b4 a visit to the Jade Garden.
- The Brown Bear is truly the best beer drinkers pub for MANY miles around, stocking 8 different micro-brewery draft real ales at any time. As the landlady, Mary, only gets one barrel of each at a time, there is a constant updating of the beer list, and the weekly drinker will find a completely new list on each visit. I've encountered the beer equivalents of train-spotters in there who have travelled from the other side of the country to check the beers out.
- The White Fart - a cosy little abode where all sorts of loonies and lost its drool over their JDs and Aftershocks. The gorgeous Charley-Farley is your friendly barmaid and attraction to the endless array of famous faces (Jerry Springer on Xmas Eve to name but one.)
- The Red Lion. Good grub served by Don at reasonable price.
The Yorky is the place to go in Biggleswade, and has been for ages.
- Brown Bear, take it or leave it. If you leave it, go and see the worlds youth get pissed and fight each other. Hurra!
- WHITE HORSE
- Yorkshire Gray - Very busy at weekends , large garden but Poorly set out
- The White Hart for atmosphere, a crazy young excitable landlord,
service with a smile from the fit bar staff, and Moz buys all the beers.
The Brown Bear for real ales and friendly locals. The White Horse for a
game of pool surrounded by film and TV memorabilia. And The New Inn for....
well, a fight.
